I loved how he just laid there when she was doing the paw print art and wiping his paws ❤️❤️ His temperament is very much like Our English mastiff, Gunther, who is also very laid back and so calm . Seeing your new addition to the family brought tears to my eyes We had a lovely Golden, "Libby Lou," for 11 wonderful years. I still miss her every day, and it's been 10 years since she passed. I wish getting a pawprint had occurred to me while she was with us! Instead, I did a shadow box with her engraved collar, a favorite photo of her, and a copy of the letter I wrote to her, and buried with her ashes. We fostered about a dozen Golden Retrievers after Libby, because I wasn't ready to give all of my heart again--just yet. At the same time, my house was too empty without a dog. What a fabulous experience, to get to love so many (needy) dogs! Blessings to all of you, including Copper!

Golden Retrievers are one of the Best Family Breeds.....When my kids were younger, we had a Retriever Lab mix for 18 yrs, He was the Sweetest Boy ever He was mostly black with just a touch of white in a few places, we named him Shadow and he truly lived up to his name.
