You can’t tell a person of color what’s disgusting and what they should and shouldn’t be eating. When our ancestors were given the bare minimum To eat when their master and overseer would discard and throw away. They had to eat whatever they could and made it taste delicious. I live in thailand, This shrimp is cheaper than lobster but taste not that great also the price are extremely high in tourist area. (Consider it a tourist trap) I would recommend getting the River shrimp is taste alot better and same size as small lobster also the price is cheaper depend on where you get it.

More like a prawn. Native in the sea around South East Asia. Sometime bigger than that. Texture and taste like the bigger spiny lobster. But I like the smaller one less than 6 inches size; softer and sweeter.

Those are fresh water shrimp you can buy here in the US flash frozen. They are sold as “U-4’s & 6’s”. Translation 4-6 per pound. They sell them at $19.99 a pound. Minimum order is 4 pounds or $80. I fill the top of my large grill with them seasoned with garlic oil. Leave the shell on. Cook & serve. They already come de-veined. We buy them once a year at Christmas time for Christmas eve dinner. They make amazing left overs too

In Thailand you bought it alive from the last night fishing for 2$😂. Please don't compare American industrial food with the living Thailand food bro, it's night and day. Even 1000 km from the shore you can find alive red snapper or calamari, this is a food delivery chain that exists since several centuries, same it exists in France or Spain . American cuisine, less than 200 hundreds years country 😂

All I know is we had them for dinner last night & they were delicious! We actually got them for less this year. I paid $17.99 a pound. We bought 4 pounds. We are happy to pay that as it is a delicacy for us. We buy them once a year & it keeps everyone happy. 😊
