Hey Lauren, I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to you. A few months ago, in a couple of videos you recommended the Ouai body scrub when it was half off. I did buy it, but what sold me wasn't just your recommendation, it was the way you spoke about self-care. I've been struggling with depression pretty much this whole year and the first thing that always goes for me is the self-care aspect of everyday life. I've had the Ouai scrub sitting in its box for about two months now. Sometimes I'd open it and have a sniff (it doesn't smell great right out of the tub, but it really blooms when in the shower, it's scent is a pure honeysuckle, which I love) but I kept not using it because I get stuck in this cycle of "I don't deserve this." Remembering how compassionately you spoke of self-care, I finally let myself enjoy it. I hope this is a first step out of my gloom cloud, it felt so nice to allow myself a little luxury. Thank you, truly.

I totally relate. I'm on Prozac, yet still struggle with the depression. Self-care is the first thing that gets neglected by me as well. Keep purchasing (and using) those little things that make you feel better and lift your spirits. Doing my daily skincare routine definitely helps me get out of the funk. Hugs to you, sweetie.🤗🤗

The tatcha oil cleanser is by far the best I've used. It gets everything off & is still somehow gentle on the eyes if you accidentally get some in there. I love following it up with the classic rice polish if I need gentle exfoliation or the rice polish cream cleanser if my skin is irritated that day. I've used so many oil cleaners drugstore-luxury and none have compared to tatcha's formula unfortunately.

Huh, I have the CT setting spray and wasn't wowed by it or felt that it did anything more than just melt my makeup together like any other hydrating spray. I never even finished it. That's how much it didn't stand out. Maybe I'll give it another go & pay more attention. Right now, nothing beats the benefit pore-fessional setting spray. It leaves a nice soft focus finish & keeps my makeup in place. I like to use the colourpop hyaluronic setting spray beforehand for hydration, then I'll wait for that to dry & top it with the benefit (just gotta make sure to shake the bottle good before each spray). I got the one/size water-resistant spray and am not impressed. It does nothing for sweating, and I find it to be a glorified hairspray (which used to be my setting spray before they were a thing, lol). I'm not knocking it, I just think it's overhyped.

I have tried many cleansing balms and cleansing oils, and the Elemis cleansing oil is the absolute BEST I’ve ever used!!! I don’t buy it very often because it is very pricy, but if I see it on sale I usually pick it up. It has a light scent which I usually try to avoid in facial products, but it doesn’t break me out and it rinses clean. I usually follow up with a gentle cleanser like Vanicream, but even as a one-and-done it gets everything off and doesn’t burn my eyes at all. In the morning I use the Bioderma micellar water on a cotton pad instead of cleanser and I love it. CVS Carrie’s a 2-pack for like $30, and I use a 40% off coupon.

I have issues with tugging on my eyelids causing a skin flare up. I have settled on using balm cleanser with just my fingertips as the most gentle makeup removal option. We stan a late night video. Light recommendation for Pixi's EOD Cleansing Oil. It's the only cleansing oil I've ever used, so grain of salt and all (I found it on clearance at Target lol) but it gets all my makeup off. I use it on my dry skin, rub it around then add some water to make it a little milkier before rinsing. I don't love the smell (kind of sunflower seedy???) but it's great at cleansing.

For the spray recommendations, I really enjoy the Sephora Brand makeup setting spray as well as the Makeup Revolution Superfix setting spray (says it’s mattifying but I don’t get that effect) Danessa Myrick’s evolution powder could also be a great option, it’s obvs a powder but it’s sooooooo light and finely milled that it just sets the makeup without giving a powdery effect or the feeling of even having powder on!
