@@cristhianramirez6939 the gladius wasnt so much a stabbing weapon as it was a slasher, do your research stabby stabby legionnaire is a myth and was meant for defensive moves, once the enemy was open they would slash the enemy's hands, arms and legs off, unfortunately the overwhelming majority of people think that every battle was fought in tight formation without melee and that the Romans only thrusted while the reality of things is that none of these cretins have any knowledge of ancient warfare; the gladius was just as good at slashing than it was thrusting because they kept the swords sharp and the form of the blade, despite what so many "knowers" think is actually a very sturdy design that allows for good momentum in dismemberment of the enemy short story: they slashed quite a bit more than they stabbed despite what people believe including whoever wrote that shit on the wiki, now please stop ruining my joke >:v
