Ayurveda has done a lot for me within the past year that I have decided to officially go chemical free with my 4C hair, which is why I'm sharing my wash day routine and my products with you in hope that it will do for you what it did for me.

I use black soap as my main clarifier, though I have used aritha with good results too. I want to try shikakai, and so many other natural products

Same here! I have heard so much about black soap and have used it only once as body wash, I've been honestly looking for a clarifier that doesn't involve ACV in it so I can use it more often! I can't wait to do more videos on this! I heard about Aritha too and that it works really well with Shikakai in cleaning hair!

I no longer use a lot of olive oil in my hair because it does nothing for my hair. I mix it in my diy oil but just one tsp. been loving my afro sheen conditoner hair grease for my tightly coiled hair. it's been better for me than shea butter. xoxo

That's great and yeah shea butter never really did alot for me, my hair never really took to it well but for some reason it loves olive oil! Different strokes for different folks I guess loll

Where do you get Shikakai from

I get the Shikakai from Amazon, I used to do Shikakai powder but I got more bang for my buck when I started buying the actual pods. It's LITERALLY been a year and I still have Shikakai shampoo from the beginning of the year when I first bought the pods on Amazon! It's definitely a money saver!
