#1 How to Make the Best PVC Gravity Deer Feeder DIY

This imho is the best out there, I have used one of these for over 20 years.
Cheap and easy to make and there is no maintaining it other than maybe touching the paint up on it every 5 to 10 years. *** This feeder will hold approximately a 5 gal bucket of corn.****

Items needed for this feeder
pvc glue
4" corrugated cap - made for drainage pipe
4.5 foot 4" PVC pipe
2 ratchet straps
4" to 3" elbow
3" of 3" pvc
possible block of wood to get angle of installation
Camo paint

I made one out s 5" pvc pipe, a 20"x20" trsy at the bottom with a 1" triangle type hole. Had plenty big bucks use it. Now i use a spin feeder i see more deer during the day but less big mature bucks under them. My biggest buck to date came off a pvc feeder. 2nd biggest was from hand broad casting.

Just get a Plastic drum 35 or 55 gallon an cut a 3” hole on bottom front side an lag bolt the top of barrel to tree so Bear can’t flip it over an roll it until corn is empty. Made lots of them!

About home much corn does it hold. 50 100lbs?

Any problems with bears tearing them up? I don’t know if you are in bear country…

Not yet, all of NC is Bear Country. They are found in all 100 counties. some more some less. Lots of Bears On the coast and lots in the mountains but middle NC has some as well.

Any issues with raccoons getting into it

No.....they eat some at the bottom but can't get in it......the only thing that may bother it is a bear as we have lots of bears here in NC....been lucky with bears
