I tested the Solix 2000 last year, and the 1000 seems to have some decent updates since then. It’s smaller, and lighter than the 2000 making it easier to haul around.

I'm still learning what makes an ideal power station. So many different factors to consider. On another topic, what do you think the best basic upgrades to a camper 12v electrical system are? I'm thinking to add a 100 watt solar panel and Renogy charge controller with my existing lead-acid battery. Alternatively, do people ever use the 12v output on a power station to do this? It seems that the 12v output is too limited on most power stations for things like the slideout.

Electric motors prefer to work on sinusoidal wave, but power bank output is pulse wave - motor can spin slowly or tool can vibrate in your hands or motor winding can overheat. Output is driven with MOSFET or IGBT bridge, if one of semiconductor fails your tool will be injected with DC. For power in job site electricity meter should be installed in proper panel, which allows you to use electric sockets near panel with electricity meter. Unfortunately in United States electricity meters are installed in dedicated slots, which makes impossible to install circuit breakers and sockets on introduction for using extension cords. It is impossible to work normally without grid-powered sockets near electricity meter. I recommend to replace meter box to normal utility cabinet where you can install circuit breakers and weather resistant sockets.

I have an Ecoflow with similar specs. I often will use it rather than rather than drag out a 100ft power cord. While my power station is for use around the house, if you were running a business there could be a case for having something like this as an option. It might save time compared to pulling out and then rolling back up a long extension cord.

I like the Anker 767 with its 2kW and much higher solar input! I bought two of them.

1800w continuous… dang that’s good enough for a table saw. You gotta think that most people are not using table saws with their power stations. They’re using their cordless tool battery chargers and temporary lights with them. That’s more than adequate for most applications. That’s good enough for most job sites and zombie apocalypses.

Would be great to have something for a fraction of the price, lasts 20 years or more, runs indefinitely, oh yea a gas generator...
@BenjaminSahlstrom8 ай бұрын
Definitely serves a different purpose! If I had to choose between a battery and a generator and could only pick one, I'd pick the gas generator. The solar panels definitely make the battery a little more comparable and can even be better if you don't have gas available.

I am not a promote of the made up climate agenda that will be used to subjugate humanity. People should look up Operation Popeye which is a documented case of the US government modifying weather for use in the Vietnam War. The climate is not changing. Thugs are manipulating the weather. I did buy three of these solar generators with backup batteries and 1200w of solar panels. I plan on using them to power my residential boiler or refrigerator. I also have a 4000w gas generator. However. I do not want to advertise I have electricity when all my neighbors do not have it. I can run my power stations in my house. I can make them run very long time. I can keep them running when the gas stations won't be able to pump your gas. Even if the natural gas lines lose their capacity to pump gas, I will be able to heat a small winter tent I can set up in my house. How do I know the power grid will be hacked? Klaus Schwaub of the World Economic Forum said so.

1kWh is perfect for small jobs, and a solar panel can keep you topped off.

Could you set up the solar panels and keep them plugged in while using the power for some home device day to day? I know its really not the purpose of something like this, but just curious.
@BenjaminSahlstrom8 ай бұрын
Yes you can! Would just need to find a good way to run the cables from the panel to the power station.

Anker sure is pushing all their backup systems and jobsite power generators REALLY hard. Only time and customer feedback will tell
@brucesimpson85798 ай бұрын
You'll need enough start-up power in the generator for heavy power draws like a table saw, for example. I don't think the C1000 can cut the mustard for these power draws.

that will never replace a generator on my jobs unless they outlaw them, and you need to clean up that panel before you have a fire that is bad and I know you can fix it I see the other one lead by example brother. I hope you at least have a panel cover for it.
