Exactly how a comparison video should be done. No endless blabber just pure tone comparisons.

Dude, i love that approach of going 10 or 0 on the knobs. I thought I cant make a deluxe work for my old LP. But damn! I copied your settings and it Sounds awesome! Thanks!

Despite all them sounding good here, I could never really bond with the sound of a les paul into an ac30. The les paul into my deluxe reverb will always put a smile on my face. And an AC30 with a telecaster is a sound to die for. Absolute bliss

I see we have a bedroom guitarist that doesn't worry about where they sit in the mix
@marcospintor1333 Жыл бұрын
@@patrickmcpartland1398 that’s funny because in literally on a break from a gig as i write this lol I think it’s just too much midrange. Honky. I love good ol’ midrange but there’s a point where it’s too far. That’s why it’s so good on a telecaster. Les Paul nahh, I still use that tone every now and then but it just always seems off

For over 50 yrs I’ve been a Marshall and vox guy but these days its the Deluxe, its on another planet compared to the BB & AC30.

Quite a high treble setting on that Fender. Have to say it’s my favourite of the 3 tho. How about getting a couple of splitters and playing through all 3?

Surprized I like the Fender most here.Could be miking,tubes dunno...The vox can be made to sound thicker and non-fizzy more than this demo is all I know.thanks

Vox and Marshal for me
@CathyHolton-jh1xv Жыл бұрын
The Fender takes it. If I want the Vox mids and chime, there are pedals that can help me do that. I never loved Marshall.
@MrBallynally211 ай бұрын
The BB had the tightest overdrive, the DR the most ballsy, the Vox the most lush. So, the reason rock players use Marshalls is because of the tight controllable distortion ( leaving the 4x12 cab out). The reason that the Vox AC30 is the king of blues/rock is that it has overtones without interfering bass. It is the circuit that makes it so lush. Cathode bias and EL84 distortion makes for a super dynamic sound. Up to a point because super saturation actually flattens the rails. Use a treble booster and you are in Rory/Brian May mode..

@steveweiss2081 Жыл бұрын
The Vox sounded a bit mushy…the Fender has the sharpest attack…and the Marshall had the biggest, thickest sound.

Of these amps the Deluxe wins. But. Why not jump the channels on the AC30 like every one does?
@darwinsaye9 ай бұрын
Definitely not everyone does jump channels on Voxes. The Top Boost and Normal channels on traditional Voxes are out of phase like on Fender Reverb amps and jumping sounds like crap.

Nice demo. I am frustrated a bit because these amps in their vintage era are quite different sounding. I saw that blues breaker vs vintage shootout a while ago and was surprised just how very different the vintage was from the reissue. So comparison is a multi faceted thing that is confusing (on some level one must take brand/model year with a grain of salt and educate yourself on your tone journey) thanks again.

Não sei se é porque o Vox não usa nfb global mas parece arenoso, o Orange tiny terror tem essa mesma sonoridade abrasiva do Vox.

Im just a guy but my impression from these 3 brands is: fender made tweeds ,then brownface then blackface amps. An evolution of tone and traits on each generation, with various experiments along the way. But it all kinda stopped with the blackface amps. Vox did the Ac30-15-10 and the night train. Anything else Im missing ? Thats 70 years of presence in the field. Marshall coppied the bassbreaker. And so the JTM was born. Moved to plexi and Jmp, lots of new futures , changes and different tone. Fast forward to JCM800, 900, 2000, silver jubilee , DSL range. Pretty busy in comparison with the others.
