The only sin that will keep you lost is failure to trust what Jesus did to save our evil souls from Hell. Put your total trust in what He did in shedding his blood to take away our sins. No good deeds. No works. No self righteousness.

This is very poor theology. All human beings are sinful by nature, as we are rebels against God by nature. This is represented in the Bible by Adam and Eve's rebellion against God, when they disobeyed, by eating the apple. This is the doctrine of The Fall, which is a foundational belief. Leaping across the entire (and very important accounts within the Old Testament), God provided a door, an opportunity back into grace, though the life and sacrificial death of His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the price for our sins, taking the punishment that is rightfully ours. It is only by trusting in Jesus, asking for Him to be our Saviour, confessing our general unworthiness and specific sins, that we can be forgiven, redeemed, becoming then (as a total gift from God the Father) a son or daughter of God. So I don't know why this preacher picks on the particular sin of lying, as there are many types of sins, all unacceptable to God, which we commit because of our 'fallen' nature; a fallen nature that can only be, gradually transformed and made more Christ-like, by the work of the Holy Spirit, who comes to dwell within us, within each new believer, once we accept Christ into our lives, as our Saviour.

@davidhussell8581 Sounds like you missed the entire point of this video, because I don't disagree with anything you said. Just highlighting the fact for unbelievers that even a single white lie is grounds for hell if you don't have Jesus as your Savior.

It's only a sin if you believe in god.

@@StreamingTruthThat seemed very clear to me. Well done.

Is it: "I know that god is real"?

Catholics have the sacrament of reconciliation to deal with issues like this but overall I don't agree with this pastor's message even though he makes an interesting connection at the end about "dogs." This message sounds like some 1500/1600s Puritan thinking.

@Miami799 You don't need sacraments, you need the shed blood of Jesus Christ, applied by faith.
