Damn… 5min 40 is a pretty awesome time already. Can’t wait to see the results! I’ll be trying to get under a 6 minute mile while you’re doing this, let’s see if I can do it in the same timeframe it takes you to reach your goal!

Great information again, I used to tell my soldiers that all of your effort and training in PT was earned in the last couple minutes. The idea was to work to physical exhaustion, and then the work started. All of this said, I served when everyone was a smoker, and heavy drinking was encouraged, it was nothing to see soldiers of all ranks from platoon sergeants down to young privates puking their guts out in the rear of the formation. Durning platoon PT days my platoon Sgt would allow me to work the platoon so he did not have to. Anyhow great information, and it’s amazing to see the changes in the culture in the Army

I'm from Louisiana originally, been living in Connecticut for some time for college now. That's what I miss most about home, that guy just stopping to offer help and see if y'all were okay. Can't tell you how many times someone did that for me when I'd be running along the road back home

Your work ethic is great, I have a workout if you allow me to share. 3-4 Mile repeats helped me with my pacing and breathing. I’m currently sitting at 5:22, 5:16, 5:19, this was all done on a local track. I took 4-5 minutes breaks in between in mile. I’m currently looking for guidance on my deadlift for the acft. 5:40 is very impressive for being 190lbs, I’m currently sitting at 150lbs.

that road seems too busy for me i.m.o.. just get a treadmill & drag it out on the patio - 12 mph max == 5 min. mile

5:40 at 190 pounds is impressive. I’ve been trying to stay at 180 just so I can run faster. I’m 6’2 and was at like 190 and was running slow as shit.

Back in the day i always wished instead of running in formation i wished we would train for speed and distance. Lets face it doing the so called Airborne shuffle doesn't develop you for speed. In the Army we would have the basic pt in the morning and after being released at 5pm i would do some serious running and distance before dinner. I hope the Army learned a better way by now.

After you do the 6 week course, are you going to be posting it/putting it on your website? I'm sitting at a slow as balls 12:01 for my mile and a half (Air Force), which is well within passing for my age group, but I want to max that sucker.

Absolutely. Ill be keeping track of everything and putting together the entire running plan after the 6-weeks are finished l! 💪
