Having just run over my Samsung with the tractor, and my tiny Experia Compact's battery died (again) getting this is a no brainer if you work outside. Bulky can be a pro. No more thinking "Wait, have I got my phone?" - the sheer weight of it in your pocket confirms you have, no more patting yourself down to check.

But looking to get something that doesn't have all my finance apps but still the practicality of apps like whatsapp. Just one question, would my sim card used for my Iphone 14 fit into the cat? The iPhone 14 only has an e-sim right? If not, then the CAT uses a Nano-SIM, so the one from my iPhone 10 would fit in the CAT.

What can I say? After disabling most privacy invading software (it will not allow you to disable Google Play Services), I mowed fields. These grounds are very uneven and shake your guts bad. The cell phone survived- absolutely no ghost clicking. I am impressed- this has become my daily phone. I might use my smart phone on the freeway. Maybe, but I was never into all that extra stuff.

Be mindful of the locale you're getting the phone with. I was sent a UK version from the German (!) Amazon store, and it had only English Spanish and French locale. Android doesn't let you just install other languages, and that means you also can't use T9 in other languages (you have to choose the Kika keyboard in settings, which will give you only those languages for T9 that came preinstalled - in fact, you can only type numbers on the hardware keys when e.g. the google board is enabled). I had to go through a lot of very technical fiddling, including adb, to get the German locale and T9 that I had signed up for in the first place (but I preferred that to sending it back).

Now that I've watched this review I'd have bought it instead of the Nokia 2780 I bought 6 weeks back.. For the same price, the Nokia has no touch screen, so texting is a big big pain.. I would have no prob with the dimensions of the CAT as the ruggedness makes it worth it.. The Nokia shows an earlier time on the front screen than the correct time on the inside screen (the old one then corrected on the front).. Navigating through 'settings' is irritating as well..The Nokia is OK. But I had no idea there was a flip WITH touchscreen.. You live and learn..btw: I'm typing this on a very nice functioning Lenovo Slim 3 chrome 14" I bought 4 weeks back. (I ruined my 5 yr old HP 14" chrome with a lot of spilled water ! (No, drying it out didn't fix it and repair would have been near cost of the new Lenny... Los Angeles, Ca. US

I have the Emporia, it is goof for calls and watts app. 4G works fine and WiFi. I was disappointed with BT, unreliable. It has storage but I was unable to use or see it. SMS fine. Internet is meh. The phone looks gorgeous, slim and light. Will see when I get the Cat. Emporia geared towards seniors.

Heyaaa, Ahh, that's my bad! Nope, all songs (and audio books/podcasts etc) from Spotify play as expected and as they should. The copyrighted comment was for my KZbin and the fact that my video is then flagged as having copyrighted content, so very much a dull back end KZbin thing I've pushed on the viewers! 😂 What size is the sim card? If it's a nano, which I think the iPhone 7 is, then it will work fine!

The texting function is a nightmare, there is no way to use physical keypad for texting, just speach to text, wich might be good for english speeking but for me as german, i got a problem. It came with english and french preset.The speed while using it is decreasing in a matter of month even i got 50% of storage not used. Now like 6 month after , it is constantly turning on and off with the result ending in factory restore menu. That will kill most of your apps,fotos and keep the google back up data unharmed(thank god) all my contacts still there but whats app and all the other apps , gone.

Hello! I've not been able to find an answer elsewhere, hoping you can help! I really want to be able to turn off vibrate on the phone but still get a noise for notifications. I have toggled off vibrate in the apps themselves and in settings and advanced settings, but it won't stop! My options are to mute all notifications entirely or else deal with the vibrate. Yes indeed I have questions. I have a secondary service, phone service for only $5 bucks a month. You never know when your main phone is gonna be stolen, broken or simply stop working. With that being said. Extreme heat or cold damage everything. I have used old phones for this secondary service and I keep them in my car most of the time. I noticed the batteries die faster specially for being old used phones. Anyways. This phone being rugged gonna endure extreme heat and cold? The site doesn't mention anything about it. Nah, it's at best 2-3 days, but that's with minimal use. It could be better, but with the screen size I 100% use it less, so it lasts that little bit longer.

My global unlocked CAT S22 Flip 4G phone has all SIM voice call disabled after my telco operator just retired all 3G networks in my country. CAT S22 Flip has no VoLTE despite 4G. Therefore, it is a doomed phone if your telco is expected to retire 3G networks. VoLTE is the real 4G.
