It's taking forever to get all these Val Lewton productions in HD formats. I've enjoyed watching all these pictures ever since the splendid laserdisc box with all 9 films was released (as well the great DVD box set from TCM). At last most of the licensed HD titles have finally arrived. These two films on a double bill from Criterion was a great idea (and with a booklet, at last, as a capper). These are two keystone films in the splendid Lewton filmography. I eagerly wait your overviews on both.

I’ve had mostly criticism for Criterion in recent years, but I have to give them full credit for this fantastic double feature release!
