Very glad to see a video on this. Araki has increasingly become one of my favorite filmmakers of all time over the last few years and it's a total grail of a release for me that I still can't believe we actually got.

i did not share Araki's worldview, but the films were close to punk and actually underground in many ways, so I found these films more invigorating and authentic than the hyped miramax and tarantino genre prevalent in the 1990s. They are so provoking and romantic with a powerful mix of nihilism and real feelings. Great to see them back on the shelves.
