An interesting idea I have been toying with is instead of using ticker numbers as input, creating images from ticker data and training models from images instead. Some new patterns emerge from images that are necessarily apparent from just forecasting numbers.

For this to work you need to build an end-to-end model, meaning that you would concatenate the CLIP model or an analagous model and the model e.g. CNN-type that translate mages to price or volatility. Then train this end-to-end model, with both the image generation model and the CNN part being updated.

@@artlenski8115 I do have my own system, from data to image to training. I’m using 3 years of 1m data for about 60 different stocks. I use a range of 300 bars, turn to recurrence plot, save to image, move one candle forward, repeat. After all the images are processed then I implement the training. Besides recurrence plots I’ve used gramian and markov transitions fields. Used them all together, each separate. Trying different time frames, different timeframes together, individually. I’ve also tried implementing a chart as a matrix. The more I train the DQN the less it works, the less I train the closer it seems to work. I wouldn’t say it doesn’t work, rather I’m not implementing the training right, I don’t know how to work a memory system on DQNs. I am just a hobbyist, so I don’t professionally know what I am doing, rather I’m just trying different ways of doing things to see how it behaves. I’m getting close to finally giving up doing things on my own and just take a course in Ai. 😅

I went on the OpenAI GPT webpage today and found the 'quickstart' example, 'Name my pet'. I absolutely could not get it to work despite wiping everything and trying again several times both with Node.js and Python. I'm not a great coder so I got my professional developer friend to look at it and he couldn't get it to work either. I think OpenAI want paying customers of course but I won't be a customer if they can't get setup a simple example.

I am exclusively interested in a chat bot app. In the way that it has a personal nature. There must be no forgetting in any way from session to session. For example, it should not forget my name in the next session. It should absolutely also be able to remember the previous conversations and relate to them in a new session with me. I think it is a model that combines the phases of training and inference. So, in that way it aligns more and more with my personality. It has access to the Internet and supplies itself with actuality to be able to stand up to my conservation with it to a special topic.

For further, I hope you open a course (Have charge), it’s something like a full stack project so we can make an web app , iOS app for finance ( quantitative analysis to screen then choose a good performance market , then screen/pick a stock from that market and so on) and far more further make a bot for auto trading 😅
