1 owner Ford Sierra RS500 found in a barn!

Here we have it, the holy grail! A one owner completely original Ford Sierra RS500! This car was left in a barn for close on 27 years! Now its come to PLR for recommissioning in time for its owners 80th birthday! So follow us as we take this car and put it back where it should be....ON THE ROAD!

£500 for a set of center cap locks....wow....back in the day you could only buy a full set they were 30 odd quid lol...I've 3 brand new with key still in the battered box as I only needed one....been in my toolbox 30 odd year....you can have em Paul if there any use to you, would have to deliver them myself tho and beg a cheeky tour round while I'm there lol 😆

As a former RS Cosworth owner myself..sold mine in 2013 after 13 yrs of ownership…i must admit this takes me back ..this car is in exceptional condition and a rolling gold mine ! being a genuine 500 this thing is worth a fortune ! 54k on the clock ? ….this car is just priceless !

Absolutely. What a beautiful car you had and I’m extremely envious. A Cosworth was always out of reach for me but I owned a beautiful 1990, RWD, XR4i. I believe only 1,700 were sold in the UK and they were quoted as 125bhp and just a badging exercise’, but mine, for some reason, was 150 so I left well alone. G606 XNE in Radiant Red. Happy days.

As you said Paul, a proper barn find, I love stuff like this for the nostalgia. This is where I should have parked mine 23 years ago, and if it looked like that now, I would be happy as Larry. Great video, I will look forward to seeing it come back to life. I would get another set of wheels and tyres for it, thoes D40's make the car, like the phone. Might try and vist the NEC.

Tyres should be replaced after about 7 years max, regardless of wear or how they look from the outside! I certainly wouldn't want to be spinning that 36 year old rubber down the motorway!
