Awesome plays I feel like 1 or 2 khmer house close to your exposed gold next to your monastery would have helped you a lot against there constant raiding :p And can you explain me why you didn't switch to Ballista elephant instead of classique elephant when you had 13 castle ? I thought it was a good fit against their condotiero, halbs and skirms (and ballistas are sick when massed) And why did you add arbalest to your hc ? Actually i could rewatch the whole episode with you explaining all the choices you've made ! Make me want to play khmer

What civ do you think is best (or at least good at) to play in this kind of 1 vs 2/3/4 beginners game?

Generally a civ with map control, mobility, and that can fight without losing much army value. Typically archer and cav archer civs, scouts can work if they do enough damage but it's too easy for an opponent to match cavalry with cavalry and simply trade in a straight fight. Even if they lose the fight and it's not cost effective, it can still be cost effective enough for a 3v1 to win. A civ like mongols with their quick start, flexible and mobile options, and potentially high value mobile army are a strong choice.

*spoiler warning* That was soooo good and it showcases the strength of khmer eco and flexibility, top civ for open maps as well specially maps where you cannot wall. Their combo might lack some heavy cav but the synergies are real, I feel like this game can't be won and it would be a lot harder with any other civ that I think of now, also red out first (I think people won't spoil themselves at this point) was spot on, you don't want to be facing +30 hp condos, hard to clear it would have got genbow behind easily, i think those would be better than +8 atk and pike. Doing everything right this gameplay feels smooth, gj ggwp.

The archer for good trades early and the castles to get map/ressource control seemed to have worked amazingly. I love seeing how you keep changing your strats and trying out things, "solving" the 1v3 meta step by step. It seems to work completely differently than a 1v1. I feel like a bit more walling in your base could reduce the necessary attention needed to defend it, and i feel like thats pretty valuable if you have to micro against 3 players fighting you all over the map. Congrats on the win, that was more than deserved and insanely well played.
