You should be able to get that print off with acetone. It still looks great

For your shower and when the boys are big enough get the shower head you can remove and wash down the walls and shower curtain to keep soap scum down and easier to clean. We do not use glass doors as all they are good for is soap scum and water spots to clean. A shower curtain liner is cheap and easy to replace when they get soiled.

I like using white caulk because I like seeing what a fantastic job I did putting it on. And the clear let's the area you are trying to close show.

Glad I could help! These are known as "5 piece kits" and are great for either odd sized tubs, or just making the install easier to manage one piece at a time.

Yep everybody has done that deal. Now on the rare time I do such a project I make template out of cardboard (appliance box side) and transfer the marks. Sometimes I even save the larger box parts for that and floor protection.

really love your videos, and its nice to see regular people do renovations. i have been looking at tub surrounds for a long time, but the ones i like i keep getting told they have to go directly on the studs. i gutted the bathroom of a 100 year old house 10 years ago, and i am not tearing out walls for a tub surround. so if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate. be blessed.

Do you caulk the top of the surround or do you have something that goes across there? Watching you put up the towel bar reminded me of a time, years ago before google, that I was trying to install one in my bathroom. The old one was already off so I didn’t see how it had been put on. I didn’t know about the little screw under the whatchamacallit and it took me forever to figure it out!

We have some small solid PVC trim that will go around the tub surround, tub, window, floors, ceiling, wall transitions... LOL Just a few bits. ;) Almost there though! Oh yes, hidden set screws can be a nightmare! These were ultra-tiny flat head screws and quite finicky. Thanks!

It's not cheap exactly, but is very durable! We would highly recommend it as a retrofit or odd sized tub surround.

The guy that put up our surround used glue on the seams instead of caulk and smeared it in a two inch strip. It looked horrible. The wall above had stain from well water and was really bad as well. I wanted to make it look decent for at least a couple of years and we'll be out of here. Used beige colored duck tape on the seams and painted the wall and ceiling with white semi gloss. Can't wait to see what you put on the top. Great job!

Just a suggestion, about the "real towel" . When my Dad got dementia he would take the towel off and throw it in the floor to stand on while stepping out of the tub. Ev very time. I finally got a clue and discovered the bar can be wiggled just enough to get it out of the brackets and insert it inside a roll of paper towels. I think I heard angels sing! No more wondering if the towel is still clean nor finding it in the floor. Congratulations on getting r done!!! ☮️💖🙏🇺🇲🇦🇷✝️🎉

Try using 90% isopropyl alcohol and a Mr. Clean Magic eraser to remove the stamped numbers on the surround! Great job on everything!

Looking good, no worries on the panel the wrong way kids love bathroom stickers so make that one a feature wall, you can get some amazing sea life stickers that will easily cover up the code. Still love it though, you both are doing a great job and I look forward to the next video as always.

The tub looks great. You're going to regret not rolling the panels with a rubber roller or like I did using the poor man's method of wrapping a towel around a 2x4 scrap and pressing/ sliding it over the whole surface to get maximum adhesion
