Love your videos because you tell it as it is! Warts and all! That is why I watch them, no frills, no arrogant I know better than the experts. There are only 5 or 6 DIY videos I watch regularly and all for these reasons. The ones I never go back to are those where someone is unpacking a new tool sees the instructions and throws them away. Thinking this is so clever, I do not need the instructions they are for dummies, then blame the tool when it does not work properly. 🙄🙄😱😱😖😖 Can not wait to see what comes next. 👍👍👏👏

Glad to see you have the room to relocate the vent pipe. Your solution is more elegant than what I did. Did not have the space for your solution. And I did not want to make another hole in the roof to relocate the vent stack. So I dropped the pipe size down to 1 inch for about 3 feet in the vent stack. It allowed room for the new shower faucet, PEX pipe and the vent stack to remain. It is not as efficient but it does work. There are times I can hear the air rushing through the smaller pipe. But it is rare. My house is a 1978 double wide.

I used flashing metal and metal tape to seal up around the tub and pipes to keep the varmints from getting under the tub and anywhere they might get through. Spray foam in cans seals everything off to seal up anything I couldn't with flashing and metal tape.

love the detail...here in the united kingdom you can buy a plumbing kit that is similar but has rubber o rings that screw together squeazing the joint without the putty ...the benefit is its not glued so can be dismantled if needs be .available from your local D I Y SHOP ( DESTROY IT YOURSELF ) ...ALSO....IF YOU USE A 3 INCH HOLE CUTTER INTO THE BATHROOM FLOOR YOU CAN then cut a square of three quarter plywood maybe 9 inches sq then a 3 inch hole in the middle next cut the square in half ...then use the two halves to seal the little critters out of the under side and make it secure but accessable....keep up the good work

On mine the drain and vent is all together and is running through the studs. Like the vent pipe just tees into the drain or the drain just tees directly off the tee. I'm going to have to try and piece together the tub kit and some other connectors. But hopefully with the way mine is set up I can just do it through the access panel and won't have to cut the under belly they way it is set up

In the uk we dont have the vent pipe from our bath or basin drains wehave the septic or sewer pipe T off and go to roof level typicaly outside the house or some times in side then boxed in. 1 large 4" vent stack. But i do like the usa idea

But Sam tell us how you really feel lol. As a kid I crawled under the house and in the attic with my father. I don’t like crawling on the ground under the house either. Great job! I cheat and use the long handles on an adjustable wrench with that drain piece because I didn’t have the wrench and had to replace that drain piece was rusted out. Makes us suffer misery loves company lol the ventologist not to be confused with a ventriloquist lol
