My trick is to position the bottom on first, squeeze your eye shut to hold lash in place, then put lash on top until it clicks to bottom, then adjust if you need to. Takes one minute each eye. Seriously, And Nikol, I love you and because of you I have decided to go silver, but I have the patience of a gnat, so I had major silver and smoke highlights with dark brown undertones. Now my gray/silver will grow out without too much pain. Thank you for giving all us older gals the courage.

i figured out this method too! I grew out my greys 10 years ago, when i was 25 (yes, i had lots of grey hair really young) I only dyed my hair a handful of times in high school for "fun" i never got to the point where i was dying to cover greys. It damaged my hair and i swore of dye that's why! Dyed it black and grew out my dark brown natural hair! :) best thing ever
@vilwarin56354 жыл бұрын
@@teesha123 It happened to me too. I´m 31 now and my silver hairs are all over my hair. I have long brunette hair, and for a time I tried to cover the white strands with dye. But then I had 2 problems instead of 1: I had roots + white hair. Now I decided to go natural, I´d rather have nice and healthy hair than be a slave of dying and destroy my hair.

I’m so glad that I found your channel. Firstly I am closer to 40 than I am 20 and I have struggled with some of the make up tutorials as my skin is no where near as pliable as it used to be and it just reacts completely different to the younger ones. And second I am allergic to lash glue and didn’t even know you can get latex free glue, so I have just bought my first set of magnetic lashes and you make it look so easy. The way you explain it is brilliant how to catch the skin so can adjust down afterwards really really helps.

KZbin is full of people trying these lashes for the first time on camera. It's so stupid. No one is putting their first ever pair of glued ashes on in videos to review the lashes are they? No, coz it's an unfair review. So why do it with magnetic lashes? 'first impression' videos are polluting youtube with useless content that contains both ill-informed opinion and very limited information. If vids are not informed nor informative, what is the point? Thank you for mastering this before going on camera and giving such close up detailed insight!

@novascotiaskater18686 жыл бұрын
Agreed! I just watched another video with two ladies trying the magnetic lashes. They literally opened the package, read the instructions and then they each tried putting them on one time and declared them an epic failure....it was absolutely ridiculous. These lashes take some time to figure out what works best for you...some hacks work for some people and others work for other people. Do not expect to get them looking fabulous the first , fifth or even tenth time.....and since I’m here I’m just going to go ahead and be real for a minute ......my absolute biggest pet peeve about women putting on false eyelashes is when they say how natural they look. I’m sorry ladies but there are no false eyelashes out there that look natural. I have never seen anyone wearing false eyelashes who looked like they aren’t wearing them. False eyelashes are clearly, obviously and always obvious. That doesn’t mean thy don’t look good , they do look good, when applied properly but they are a “look”. I hate to say it but if you are wearing fake lashes and think that everyone just admires your long natural lashes you are mistaken!

@theshadylady19826 жыл бұрын
rose mary I bought them as well, also a HUGE FAIL... until I tried something before throwing them out. I cut the bottom one into 1/3's. There's 4 magnets on the bottom, cut the inner corner w one magnet, the outer corner w one magnet and the center w two magnets. Then lay the full top row on your lashes and use tweezers to first add the inner corner, then the outer corner, then the center! AMAZING the difference!! Give it a try, you'll love it!!
@theshadylady19826 жыл бұрын
I hope you ladies had some luck! I couldn't get them on even once until I cut them and then I got them on right away. Having a little mascara on your top lashes will help your lashes support the full row you lay across as you add the bottom ones to attach to the upper magnets. The closer to the root the better. This also fixes the extremely common problem of the lashes not curving enough and having the inner corner section stick straight out no matter what you try. This fixes that as well. :)

I just discovered your channel and really like what you do. You mentioned where you discovered that in applying the eyelashes, you like having the longest lashes being closer to your nose which is the complete opposite of the usual way of applying. I discovered way back that I prefer having the longest part of lashes like you discovered you now like. I have been applying eyelashes like that since I was 18 back in 1969. I am now 70. I never liked the traditional way of wearing eyelashes with the longest part ending up at the end of your eye, i.e., having that winged look. I always went against being told how to apply and did the opposite. I am glad that there is someone else who likes the way I like. Anyway, I love your channel. Thank you.

Thank you so much for this video! I have been an avid wearer of glued lashes for over 10 years. Like wearing contacts daily, I am so good at putting them on, I actually find mascara to be "not worth the hassle" and I don't wear it. LOL - Practice definitely helps. About a year ago, I started doing long wear lashes (with Duo glue) that I shower, swim and sleep in for 5-7 days of wear. I get compliments all the time and I absolutley LOVE the drama of big lashes. You know how it is - once you go faux, natural is just so vanilla. I'm finally at a point where I want to experiment yet again, but my past attempts with magnetic lashes all failed. Unlike strip lashes, they didn't have a curve, so I would dry lash glue on them in the plastic case just so they would hold a shape. In the end, they were just so flawed, I gave up. However, seeing this video makes me think they have corrected the old mistake and now have the curve needed to actually work AND sit perfectly on the lash line instead of sticking out in a straight line. I have seen WAY too many "fail" videos and wish I had seen yours first. :)

Awesome! Didn't know about these till seeing your video 😊 I definitely will be trying these before the other kind that requires you to apply magnet liner... Thanks!

That looks SOOOOOOO HARD to do. Has Nikol tried the magnetic eyelashes with the magnetic eyeliner?

One trick I have seen, was put a line of eyeliner on your standing mirror and store the eyelashes like that, it helps keep the curve in place . :)

LOL I got mine on wish and they're the same exact ones (the brand name ones) for ONLY 1.85$ and that included shipping! It was a dollar to be shipped and $0.85 for the actual product (just one pair ÷ I had to cut them back a little bit) but yes I agree they're very easy and I do it the same way you apply them I'm bummed though I lost my other pair today! However I can't complain, they were worn quite a bit already, (which by the way pretty impressive for not being the brand name they were actually theirs or just an off brand) but they were perfect for practicing and I will repeat, I was really impressed with those! (If anyone was wondering they do sell from their warehouses all over so shipping is quicker these days, they have numerous warehouses in the U.K and in the U.S. 😄)
