On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Cool story. I was working for a film company as an aerial videographer and driving west from LA to Arizona.. We stopped at a hotel and slept a little ways into AZ and we woke up that morning and got back on the road very early before daylight.. It's probably foggiest early morning sunrise I've experienced on an open road.. Were talking Lord of the Rings film set fog.. To the point where the road that we are driving on becomes invisible even before the the end of the effective range of the headlights.. Well we're driving along this road and we're the only car on the highway we've seen in probably 10 minutes.. And then out of absolutely the thickest fog I've ever experienced comes a low flying galixy almost appearing out of nowhere coming straight at us in the opposite direction in the middle of the highway pulling all of the fog into the back of the Wings in massive toroidal vortices that made it look like some type of ancient lovecraftian horror of the Skies.. Me and my director who's driving at the time Both at the same time exclaimed WHOA.. And then hilariously never spoke of it again because we're In film production and are superjaded lol.. But the image of that massive aircraft coming through the fog is forever seared into my mind..

Back in 2017, I was a USAF crew chiefs on f-15s. I was working EOR(end of runway, final safety pins and checks pulled) in Okinawa, Japan. We have this small shack to hang out in while we're not out in the sun, when jets aren't around. One day a c-5 comes down and the wingtip was probably 50ft from our little shack to make its turn off the taxiway onto the runway. I watch this thing line up and hear the engines run to full power. It didn't even make it 150 yards and the nose started coming up. When all the landing gear finally left the ground I was in disbelief. Nothing that big or heavy should be able to make it off the ground. I will never forget seeing it finally take flight and being in absolute awe. As a fighter guy most of my life, heavies are rad.

@@NathanIrizarry1 according to sources online, NK pilots get about 15-20 flight hours a year, which is like an hour or two a month. Contrast with US pilots getting the same in a month, or roughly an hour a day. And this is meaningful training hours, not flying circles in the sky. So these pilots can take off and land, and probably shoot a missile off, and that's it. At best some very, very basic BFM. Probably can't dodge an incoming missile very well. That's not even counting the physical aspect of getting used to pulling a moderate to high G-load, and all that entails. Not to mention the NK follows the Soviet GCI doctrine, which places low emphasis on individual pilot initiative.

Chuck Yeager's favorite aircraft. Great Job. Chuck once made a dogfight challenge with the F15, to any pilot in any other aircraft. NO ONE accepted that challenge. Knowing back in those days that he knew that aircraft better than anyone on the planet, and by far had the most flight hours in the F15 as well. The Air Force also gave him a last Flight in the F!5 in his old age. That flight is on you tube. Hard to watch, but good on the Air Force to put that together.

Hanging out on top of the T-Tail section(six stories high!!) while handing tools to the mechanic on St. Helena’s runway off the coast of Africa was so damn cool. One year at the Kalamazoo air show a c5 showed up and i got to take a tour of it because my scout troop was working staff for the event. The length of the staircase up to the cockpit alone is outrageous to see in an airplane. When i toured it before the general public they had the tail open but the nose was closed. I made the pilot laugh when i realized there was an echo and started playing around with it, making bird calls and clapping my hands, said he'd never noticed it before but after me i bet he never forgot. I also got to stand in the cargo hold when they opened the nose, that was cool. I have a lot of good memories from working those airshows, and i got a little more access then most because i was there before the crowds and was in uniform so that hepled also and I was obviously geeking out on all the planes, so the pilots were generally really cool. This is the same airshow that a grumman (panther? Jaguar? I forget which) crashed at a few years back, made me sad, but that air museum does a fantastic job of restoring old planes, so im sure its ok now, they better as that little museum is the only one in the world with a complete collection of grumman cats, thry even got a tomcat before the Smithsonian did, with the engines removed, but the CO of the tomcat wing in Battle Creek wanted them to complete the collection so he hooked them up

But from what I understand the C5 is TRULY massive and can do a 'heavy drop' and a 'troop drop' at the same time...MASSIVE airplane the C5...very well constructed and engineered. Designed so the front of the aircraft can 'bow down'(for lack of a better term) and the nose could open(as seen in this video) so vehicles and cargo can be loaded and unloaded from the front of the aircraft.

Although GS doesn't always call out his speeds (I do enjoy it when he does tho). I understand there are a whole lot of variables and it's pretty mind blowing how heavy these missiles are to really drop the speed of a fighter that much. I see them on occasion cruising over my house at about 15,000 ft on their way back into Travis AFB. Even at that altitude you can tell it's a big airplane. Their engine sound is also unique.

I have an interesting idea. You've done a lot of F-22 missions, why not try FACING it? Fly as like, a Su-30SM, solo, against 2 Raptors and some other small patrols, your main goal being the raptors. Kinda like the F-22 stealth mission you did recently, but roles reversed.

The first time the 15's saw combat was with the Israel air force, I'll repeat what they said:"with the F4 you had a good plane but you knew you or someone else in your squadron would die, with the F15 you had an airborne SAM and you knew the enemy was going to die everything was suddenly just Joy."
