It's been a week of a new administration and the potential SHTF threats here at home have changed and in some cases ramped up. Be prepared & aware.
There are two SHTF threat profiles in particular that I wanted to make people aware of. One is already kinetic in many ways and has likely removed any restraints that were there previously. The other one is currently only in the potential stages of SHTF threat levels but has the ability to grow into something much worse. Just a heads up for everyone. Stay safe out there!

Over the years I've done a lot of hiking and camping down along the southern border: Organ Pipe, the Tono O'Odham reservation, Altar Valley, Chiricahua Mountains, Cabeza Prieta. Frankly, under a Harris regime I was concerned for her weakness. As Trump v2.0 is playing out, I'm less concerned in my personal circumstances. Here in the countryside my SHTF concerns still center on Nature's fury; hurricane and Winter storms. Next on my list are random acts of violence where a display of credible force might be required. Unfortunately the People's Republic New Jersey still refuses to accept the existence of the Second Amendment....but. There's a gubernatorial election this year with a 50/50 chance of electing a Republican, so I still have hope. Will Orcs and Morlochs invade MY home? Unlikely. Random Ghouls while I'm shopping or driving? Possible. I'd like to restock back to 6 weeks, maybe 8 weeks if there's a crisis. I'd like to be better armed, if the Guv'mint would get out of the way. I'm a man of a certain age trying to make his way through the world. Stop. Leave me alone. Go away!"

Depending on how much the country continues to shift in the direction of sanity and liberty over the next four years, we citizens should really be taking the next four years to make America the most well-prepared, well-armed, and well-trained country that it's ever been -- and never stop. We actually have a real opportunity here to put this country on a path that will make it virtually impossible to destroy or even significantly erode for the foreseeable future. While the Trump administration does their part, we should keep doing our part. But at least for now, there's a sense that we can have a bit more fun doing our part while Trump is in office!

I’m in the San Francisco, Bay Area and that second part is very real. Something is in the air and I’m legitimately concerned. The first time Trump won It was just a bunch of crying and protesting, but something’s definitely different this time around. I just can’t put my finger on it. It’s just an energy and some of the things people are talking about that had me concerned. I fly under the radar, a lot of people that I’m acquainted with don’t know that I am a right leaning libertarian and I intend on keeping it that way at least for now. Curious to see how far the military control will go once the cartel retaliates. If they were smart, they’d open legal businesses or personal security corps. We also forget that Americans are much more armed than Mexicans. Strategically, random attacks are a bad idea considering anyone can, should and will likely, be carrying firearm. For years, I have chosen to keep a low profile when I am out in public. You will never see politically oriented bumper stickers or window decals on my vehicle. No NRA or military veteran stickers either. Or decals of the U.S. flag because, sadly, that image has been overly used by MAGA and now is associated with right wing politics. You will never see me wear a hat or tee shirt that aligns with any political party or social movement. The closest I ever come to this is when I wear the "I voted" decal on my shirt on election day. It is too easy for political parties and foreign entities to use communications technologies, such as social media platforms, to manipulate the opinions of those who do not do logical thinking and who will stupidly follow anyone who appeals to their emotions. And there are plenty of mentally unbalanced people out there too. I never want to draw the attention of these people or become their target. I am also very careful to never express a political opinion to anyone who is not a trusted and immediate family member. If illogical, mentally manipulated people want to turn out and become part of a mob protesting something and disrupting traffic and nearby businesses, you can be sure that I will never be part of that mob. I usually try to stay as far away as possible from state or federal government buildings because I cannot legally conceal carry there and those buildings can be places where mobs gather to protest and act out violently. And I really, really do not want to be unarmed when out in public because you never know when some domestic terrorist nutjob is going to start something. I must admit I have been more concerned these past few years about heavily armed MAGA nutjobs than I am about Molotov cocktail throwing Antifa nutjobs because rounds can travel a lot farther than bottles.
