Germans are not boring you’re just different! Your life is going to be turned around 180 degrees but in a good way. My dad handed down 35mm slides he started taking in 1949 and we have pictures from every place we lived all around the world, including all the places I lived while I was a US Navy officer like my dad. I gave a digital copy to each of our 5 children. I only have my Q2 and a 1956 Voigtlander Vito B left. I really love my Q2. I enjoy your videos - they are real, honest and down to earth.

Hilarious narrative. I had a good laugh. Thank you. Also thank you for showing my birth province. Seen and been to all these places you guys were. Middelburg, Veere, Zierikzee. They’re all beautiful places. My cousins own a B&B in Zierikzee btw. Was there last year (I live in the US nowadays). The love of my life. My Q2. Whoaaaa. Great humor. Good luck with the your family expansion. And thanks again for your great video. Love it.

Thanks for the heads up and your kind words! I corrected the title (how embarrassing). We actually visited a B&B in Zierikzee in Late 2022 (its called Pluk), but I guess since your cousins only opened up last year it was a different one. I love Zeeland and can only imagine what its like to grow up there.

@@TobisTings My pleasure Tobi. I enjoyed every minute of it. It’s called Pension Monmaertre. Don’t be fooled about the name. It’s a B&B for sure. Keep up your nice videos. They are wonderful to watch. 🙏👍🙏

Love your videos! You have a good sense of humor and I like that! You're a little hard on yourself about the photos you take. Always be welcome in the Netherlands, a beautiful destination that is definitely worth a visit is Giethoorn. You will definitely be able to take beautiful photos there! We love to visit Germany and go to the Muller drugstore or DM! Good luck with your first baby! ❤ Love from the Netherlands 🌻🌷🌹👍🏻

So i have the Leica Q2 and have been using it for my travels for a about a year now. The lens is absolutely amazing, but for travel I think I am done with it, and plan on going back to my Fuji x100V. The reason being, you have to underexpose almost every image, which renders the JPEGs unusable, and you have to edit almost EVERY SINGLE photo. This is fine if you have unlimited time, but when traveling I dont want spend hours on my laptop heavily editing the days pics. What are your thoughts Tobis as you have used both systems?
@TobisTings5 ай бұрын
I know exactly what you mean. I also always expose for the highlights and while the JPEGs have gotten a lot better since the Firmware 4.0 update thanks to the intelligent dynamic range feature I still need to edit every single photo and even though I rarely spend more than a minute on each image... that still adds up during the course of a holiday. Its a bit painful in that regard. Even still, I am now so used to the Q2 and love how the images look once I edited them. And so I am still using the Q2 at least 85% of the time (maybe 10% the X100 VI and 5% Sony a7 IV) and batch edit my photos (sometimes weeks or months later) in one long session.

@@TobisTings Thank you kindly for responding. As much as i enjoy my Leica, the more I think about it, the more I am leaning towards taking my Sony a7R3 along with a 16-35 mm lens. I took it to Iceland a few years ago and barely had to edit any of my images!

It’s been twenty years ago, but my wife and I took a trip to shoot a video project just three weeks before our first child was born. Seems crazy in hindsight! But it was wonderful. You lives will forever change for the better soon.

Cheers! Just a regular Lens hood from amazon. Its called the Haoge LH-X54W. Essentially a knock off version of the Square hood Mk III

Hahahah "I was so happy I got to be there with my one true love... *expects him to say wife*.... my Leica Q2." God damn.... What a hilarious episode, the jokes just kept coming and coming. Are these Leica Q2 photos straight out of camera, or are they edited a little bit?
