I just had that Vietnamese restaurant last night! It’s called Al Chay and is a SLC legend. All the vegans in Utah go there. SLC is actually a super vegan friendly city with tons of vegan places, and almost every food joint has a vegan option.

Keep up the great work! I’ve done so many of your recipes, they’re so good! I am not vegan, I transitioned to whole food plant based about 7 months ago, and I love that you don’t use oil in a lot of your food. Keep them coming, Sarah! You’re a great vegan chef!

You’re really into Chinese/ Vietnamese cuisine lately, soooo happy that you are because I’ve been craving all this goodness for the past month and I can’t wait to make these recipes mmmm ❤️ safe travels when you go home!

Remember the recipe video Sarah did for her cheese dip? Well, I tried subbing the other ingredients (mostly the non-orange vegetables such as, in this case, the potatoes) with steamed/ roasted eggplant (without the skin) and it came out really great! It was really creamy and like she said, it heats up pretty well. It's also a great substitute to soaked cashews, in my opinion. :)

Sarah, you're my favorite. I absolutely love these chill videos. I've also just been putting a lot of pressure on myself to eat stupid healthy (like low fat as possible, no processed foods, just kind of over the top for my busy lifestyle), and seeing your lovely gains and still eating good food just helps, I guess. I don't know, maybe that's silly, but you're killing it.

I go through phases like that too, sometimes! It's nice to do that every once in awhile but I agree, not super sustainable for a busy lifestyle.

Hoisin sauce is a Chinese (specific to the city of Hong Kong) sauce used as a condiment is a variety of dim sums, but mostly for rice rolls! It's an intensely sweet and mildly salty dipping sauce that is very pungent in flavour. Interestingly, "hoisin" translates directly to "seafood" in English BUT the most popular and widely available Chinese sauce brand, Lee Kum Kee's, hoisin sauce SHOULD be vegan. In fact, hoisin sauce, although translates to "sea food", isn't actually made of seafood. But of course, double check just to make sure (:

Audible sounds cool, but I'm much more a fan of regular books :) their smell alone is enough to keep me loyal, let alone the feel of the paper between my fingers and, with used books at least, the thought of what the book's story is- where did it start out? Where has it been? Who's owned it? - it's just pretty amazing... but I'm also a bookworm who will forever be in love with books over everything else, soooooo yeah. Recipes look delicious ^.^

I love your recipes! I did notice you use frozen broccoli, just fyi if you don't sprinkle powdered mustard or eat with red cabbage it won't release sulforaphane. which is what you want from broccoli per Dr Greger from the book How Not To Die. Also broccoli sprouts have even more nutrition than broccoli. If you grow your own he said broccoli sprouts have the most nutrition two days after soaking overnight I didn't know this so I am just passing it on. 🤗
