Hey the events typically provide you a swim cap. Practice these this week: Swimming in suit. Peeing in suit. Taking off wetsuit. Also: get some body glide for bike ride chaffing. Go get it man

Vasoline everywhere bro. Even down there. Thank me later
@JonathanMcConico5 жыл бұрын
Agreed! Forgot to lube my neck up the 1st time I swam in my wetsuit for the year and had for chaffing.
@tummyfullfigger92915 жыл бұрын
Definitely want a chafe stick and apply around neck and under arms and shoulders. Also get in for a swim with the wetsuit on before as it will feel restrictive. Relax when you start your swim...don’t go out guns a blazing no matter how jacked up you are. On the bike I set my garmin to alarm every twenty minutes to remind me to eat I then eat a third of my calories per hour. I save gels for the run if I have them at all otherwise I’ll eat fruit at aid stations. I’ve seen another racer actually pack b vitamins in his bento box as well which I haven’t tried yet but would be interested to see what vitamins benefits most for endurance.

Do the swim in your TriSuit if you can't get a wet suit, it's made for swimming as well

Usually you woudl wear your trisuit under the wetsuit. If the water is cold you'll want the wettie. It also can help you swim faster as it has a bouyancy effect.

A runners trick to make sure you run mid foot or on the ball of your feet is to band aid a pebble to your heel. This will make sure you don’t heel strike. You should not be getting knee pain from running unless you heel strike. Your calves should be taking on the impact. Another trick is running barefoot on concrete, your body wont let you heel strike.

Yeah i agree.. a buddy of mine just did the same thing but 10x worse. He got rid of his dog because he lives in an apartment and the dog didnt listen because they never took it out or cared for it much and they said he was too big for the apartment. So right after he got rid of it (literally like 3 days after) he went and got another puppy, thats bigger than his last dog. People just dont deserve pets.

2 different sessions after each other with no more than 10-15 mins break inbetween. mostly done with bike -> run, like in competition, but you can take any other order aswell, like 3 times bike -> run or swim -> bike. the idea behind is to get comfortable to your legs feeling like jelly after a hard bike at the beginning of the run aswell as starting your run with fatigue and higher HR
