1 Year Ago Today......

Hello Friends,
One year ago today I untied the lines from Marina del Rey, California and pushed for Hawaii. I have sailed 5,500nm during that time, visited more than 20 anchorages on 6 different islands and 2 atolls in 3 different countries.
I want to thank everyone for following along with me on this dream.

James you truly are an inspiration to me. I’m a fellow sailor and the proud owner of a Westsail 32. I watch a few sailing KZbin channels but it’s you and your channel that gives me the drive to continue to go after my dream. That is to sail around the world. Your doing it man. You have accomplished so much with so little. Some times I think I need more cash more security and a fall back plan just incase. Then I watch you , on tracker sailing non stop to French Polynesia and making your dreams a reality. Your a great writer and an even better story teller. Your authentic and just you. KZbin videos are always months delayed because of the time it takes to edit / upload and only releasing 1 video a week, it also creates a buffer so that while Vloggers at sea and away from internet there is still content coming out.

Hi James, my first video I saw, was jurney to Hawaii. I remember when you had problem with steering and personal hard time. I'm glad that everything work out. It's amazing how much you upgraded Tritea 🙂 fix the steering, new paint, new Sails, Solar panels+ batteries, kitchen and more. Happy for you brother. When you move on from a relationship and are mostly over the emotions, at least I’m my most recent experience, you learn that life as someone not in a relationship is actually kinda damn amazing. Doing what you want, seeing who you want, with the only commitments to you are the ones you so choose. I may end up in a relationship again one day but with absolute honesty, if I don’t, I don’t think it’ll bother me whatsoever.

For anyone thinking this is cheap to do its not. So many hoops to jump thru to have proper documentation and you can only bring so much supplies. Try sleeping on a rolling seas and you will know it sucks. I'm strongly looking at catamarans but they are expensive. And have protection for yourself no matter what. A good ol 12 gauge pump shotgun bare minimum.
