One year already?!!!!! Omedetou Gozaimasu!! It is so very true that consistently making videos is not an easy task. It’s always inspiring to watch you because you love sharing what you’re learning, and as far as I know, you don’t stop learning which is awesome for the rest of us right because we all can learn from you as well. Another thing is that you’re always staying positive, which is another nice thing to spread in your channel. David’s carrot cake looks amazing! His skills with cameras is amazing too ;) Tastes that bring back memories, yes absolutely. Since I’ve lived in different places, different tastes/flavors will trigger different memories of different places. I know Daruma from Monster Hunter :D Actually the ones you drew look very similar to the one in the game as well. Let’s talk about sharing Chi-Chan, I am glad that you decided to create all these videos on your channel. I am glad that you decided to try for the 4th time, and I think it’s a very successful one as well. I am super glad that I stumbled upon your channel, and there so many things that I have learned and decided to try because of your video. :) It’s been a great year, and I am looking forward to another awesome year! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Thank you so much☺️ Your comments have really encouraged me. It’s thanks to your support that I’ve come this far (Really no kidding), and I’m truly motivated by it. Thank you again! I realized, as you mentioned, that I do enjoy being in an environment where I can learn. It’s something I’d like to continue next year. That carrot cake is so evil. I finished up eating in 2 days!! I’m really grateful to have met people with similar values through this video journey. Let’s continue to enjoy this journey together. Merry Christmas✨

Congratulations on a full year! You've come a long long way, and it's quite impressive! It was nice to see some family baking going on - that's a great pastime. I used to live closer to Chicago growing up and I misssss... well the pizza, of course. And... oooh, the Italian beef. Oh! Sausages... ok... I miss a lot of the food. I think storytelling is a great skill for your type of content... seems to match up well. You already do wonderfully. Cheers for another year!

Hi Brian! Thank you! I remember posting my first video on January 1st with so much anxiety, haha. Chicago pizza! Oh, I used to have a favorite pizza place in Tokyo, and it made me nostalgic. I’m also looking forward to your recap video about your year! I really admire how your channel is such a pure presentation of your artwork. It must take so much effort and dedication. We are doing great!!

Chika San, I’m so blessed watching your channel. I’m half Japanese, love Japan- and also live far away but am always drawn to Japanese people. Like you said there are things I miss like omochi at new year’s. I’m also doing KZbin and enjoy it a lot- your videos are so cozy and so personal, I always learn something. I wanted to be a children’s book Illustrator since I was young but after marriage and 5 kids, nothing has happened in that area. I still enjoy the thought of it though. Gambattene❤

@@ogawachikako its been fun! ✨ btw if you don't see me on the previous video or the next one, it's because my comments aren't going through lol idk why but comments have been getting really glitchy for me across the platform

Congratulations, Chika-san! I have grown attached to your videos, so I hope for more full years of videos from you. 💛 I actually have a question. I've been wanting to make videos, too. Just to practice my speaking and my English, but I'm torn because I want to go for KZbin but my friends advised me that TikTok would be better. I was curious what made you choose KZbin? You also kept coming back despite the first few times it didn't work out! And for the question about food, I didn't go abroad but my family did go back to our hometown in the city. I grew up in the province and absolutely love the native food there. It was a good thing that I can cook a little, and there's also the net so I could search for things I am not sure how to make. But it's definitely different tasting the genuine food made by locals, so I really miss those (and the experiences of living the peaceful and simple province life)!

Thank you so much🥰 Your messages have encouraged me many times during this year. I also love traditional dishes. When it comes to Japanese food, it can be tough to gather all the seasonings, but I enjoy simple hometown flavors from time to time. That’s wonderful! I support you in your new challenge! The reason I chose KZbin is that I feel platforms like Instagram and TikTok are more about consuming content quickly and makes me sad. I wanted to build a deeper connection with people who leave comments by creating longer videos where they can get to know me better. Since it’s a good opportunity, I think I’ll create a video next year for artists who want to start KZbin!🥰

I'm not sure if I can call it a lesson, but it was more like sharing what I’ve learned, based on bullet points, such as the full-time artist's journey and the children's book creation process🧐 I would love to try more in next year!
