It’s been almost a year since I picked up this future classic from UES, and I can confidently say the 15.5oz Tricotine work shirt is living up to its reputation. Here’s a quick update on how it’s performing after a year of wear.

Once you wash it the fit will be spot on. I think a 2 might be too small, but regardless such a great piece, and looks great. If my closet wasn't flooded with great dark blue shirts I might buy one. I still might and just love UES the more time I wear them.

Great update Cameron. I just bought the UES extra heavy flannel and love it. I’m leaning towards getting this tricotine as well in the fall. I too find the sleeves long on my extra heavy 15.5oz UES flannels. Bothered me so I actually removed the buttons and re-sewed them so it a tighter around my wrist. I like how it turned out.

Just managed to get one of these from Redcast Heritage. Fantastic shirt. Great to have some idea how it'll be with a little wear and tear in it. The follow up videos are a great idea. Fab to watch👍

Great videos Cameron! Really enjoy your channel. We have very similar tastes in clothing and watches. I purchased the size 2 from Ironshop Provisions (great team over there), and at 6 feet tall and 176 pounds, it feels too snug-almost like a small-especially when buttoning the last button at the bottom. I’d stick with the size 3. I’ll be returning mine for a larger size.

I’ve had the same thoughts about sizing. Also have a 3 and really feel like I should’ve went with a 2. I shrunk mine a bit in the wash, so it’s better than it was. Still an amazing shirt. Everything you say is spot on!

I too own a tricotine in a size 3 and had the same problem with the sleeves and body being.a bit long. The shirt definitely shrank some when I finally washed it (cold, hang dry) and it now fits better. Dig your content man.

I love my UES flannel. I find the fit more generous compared to something like Ironheart

I'm the same on the sleeves Cam, I just cuff them once before I put it on, they fold over very neatly ... don't try to cuff the sleeves when wearing them as you'll pull a muscle! (UES buttons are never great , so I replaced them with a stronger version)

Pay attention to size charts. I'm a 46 inch chest and the size 5 barely fits. It is not 48 like in the redcast size chart.

I am debating now whether to go for this shirt or the indigo heavyweight flannel. I live in the southeast USA so we don't get too harsh of a winter. I've never owned a 14.5oz or 15.5oz flannel so I have no experience to go by. Any recommendation or advice from the UES community would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure if you mean the UES heavy selvedge flannel? But that is brushed which would make it warmer IMHO. where as the tricotine isn't. Even though it is heavy i find it cooler than any brushed flannel I have for sure.

A very beautiful overshirt!! May I suggest the pronunciation to be "tricotine" not "traicotine", if you get me. It comes from the French Tricot (knitting) and would also be pronounced with something like an "ee": trɪ́kəw.
