Yes sis motivation. Started my locs from scratch again for the 3rd time with micro locs and I’m 2 1/2 months on. Feels like no growth. I’m not cutting them everrrr again!

I love your hair and I’ll be starting mine this summer. With locs so tiny can I just retwist or do I have to use an interlocking tool?

love love love, I also started with a big chop then as my hair grew I got to know my loose natural hair but it was a lot of maintenance and manipulation to get it a certain way. It got tiresome now I'm enjoying my loc journey yesterday actually made 8 months and the growth has been nothing but amazing! truly enjoying my journey!!

Your hairs growing faster than mine. Mines have been the same length for 8yrs😭
@kerrybellum3 жыл бұрын
So sorry about that. There are a couple of things that might be contributing to that: 1. Diet 2. Water intake 3. Stress levels 4. Breakage Also, I believe that our genetics play a huge part. Our hair also goes through phases of growth and rest, but 8 years is a long time for growth to pause so you might wanna see a specialist. If you've adjusted the things I listed above and your hair is still not growing, it might just be genetics, in which case just learn to love your locs as they are because they are uniquely you!

I'm interested been for a long time...so many questions...first....how do I know what size I should do for my hair? What products to use?
@kerrybellum3 жыл бұрын
Hi! A consultation with a loctician will give you a clear idea of how small you can go with your locs if smaller locs are what you prefer and you are concerned about locs breaking off. A very general rule of thumb is that each loc will swell to twice the size they were when they were originally installed

I love it! 🔥 Makes me want to get mine done. I do have a crazy question though. What if 5 years down the road you decide you don't want Sister Locs anymore. Can you take them out or do you have to shave your hair off? 🤔 I know some might think it's a stupid question but I really want to know. TY
@kerrybellum3 жыл бұрын
Hiiii! That's definitely not a stupid question! A lot of people choose to shave all their hair off because of how long it would take to undo the locs but it definitely can be done. Just need lots of time, patience, and conditioner! I'm definitely gonna include this question in a Q&A it was a really good one

Y do u keep calling them microlocs? They are sister locs lol. Micro locs are traditional locs smaller than mine (see hair ) sis u have sister locs
@kerrybellum3 жыл бұрын
Sis I keep calling them microlocs because they are. Sisterlocks is done by trained Sisterlocks consultants and trainees using a patented/copyrighted grid system and using special tools. My microlocs were not done according to that system. Hope that helps! ❤
