I miss the years when a woman could be sexy without being skanky- the years when MTV still played music and talent actually counted for something!

I had recorded this on video but lost it. As I remember it, it was the last week of Letteman on NBC, and he had invited his favorite bands. Glad I got to see it again. Thank you!

One of my favorite comments Dave ever made was when introducing them, he said, "Paul, last time they were here they were only like 4000 maniacs. Now they're up to 10,000."

They came to my college in 93 and I didn't go. One of my worst decisions ever! I think I was so in my "grunge, dude!" phase that I couldn't admit that I liked them. And kind of loved Natalie.

Carlos Kuan While a reunion would be awesome, it would just not be a genuine 10,000 Maniac reunion without Buck (RIP). He was a unique guitarist and one of the main song writers, Natalie was of course the lyrics & often Music, but Bucks guitar work was ver underrated.

@916415113 жыл бұрын
Why do their best performances have to be the shortest?
@cubbfann0811 жыл бұрын
yeah from what I have read the Our Time In Eden was long known to the band that it was the end of Natalie and the Maniacs. That being said this was the last time for the bandmates to really cash in on records sales and I am sure thats is what that Stouffers commercial was all about. Hence the Very successful MTV Unplugged album the commercial success of the Band as well as Natalies 1st solo Tiger Lily. This IMO was Natalies way of leaving the family (10K) with some lasting success.

She's being overpowered by band. Should have turned down band levels, turn up vocals. Did they do sound check, or was the band so vain and threatened by her talent that they had to make it like this?
