Dear Ben, I would like to express my genuine gratitude to you and your videos. Never have I ever hoped for achieving a C2 on my CAE examination. But I guess, miracles do happen and today I got my result back with 202 points. There are no words to describe how lucky I am to have found your channel during my preparation weeks. I thank you for the bottom of my heart. Sincerely yours, Maria

Hi Ben, This video and all your teachings are priceless (including your courses) I know I'm repeating myself, but it can't be said often enough😊 I was very surprised that I knew all the adjectives except two. I'm completely with you when it comes to the Beatles, I was born only in 1975 but I love their songs. I know the term "restless"from my nurse studies, you're sure familiar with the medicine expression "restless legs". Thanks again for your tireless efforts to bring us closer to the world language with so much dedication and enthusiasm. I hope your channel stays with us for a long time😊

Just discovered your channel a few days ago and I can say I wish I'd discovered it sooner ! Your advices are just so useful and clear. Got my B2 first in May and I'm gonna revise everyday with your videos ! I feel like I perhaps should have taken the C1 advanced but I'm gonna do my best and fixing my weaknesses in the goal of passing C1 Advanced next year if I don't have it this year. Thank you so much for all of this free content though it is priceless !

Hello Ben, thank you for this wonderful video! I have one question to you and I hope you know the answer. I was wondering whether both parts of the writing paper are assesed by the same person? I'm afraid that if I use the same grammar structures and vocabulary for my essay and report/proposal I might lose marks
@tothepointenglishwithben.
@tothepointenglishwithben. Ай бұрын
The two writing compositions are evaluated separately. You only need to worry about using appropriate grammar and vocabulary for each task individually.

Hello Ben, I've been following your videos lately and I find them quite interesting and useful. I would like to pose you a question: Is It correct to use the present continuous on this sentence? "Most fake products are selling on shops", As you may see nothing to do with the topic of the video but I would appreciate your help very much. Thanks in advance Best Regards, Maria
@tothepointenglishwithben.
@tothepointenglishwithben. Ай бұрын
Grammatically, it's possible, but it's a strange sentence. It would be better in the passive voice: "...are being sold in shops." (Note the preposition IN not ON)

Thanks a lot Ben, you've been very helpful. Sorry for the mistake, I wanted to write "on streets" instead, I sometimes get absent-minded.

A remark on a student's essay using the word *feckless* : The manner in which the essay was written says plenty of the student. The essay fell far short from what is expected at this level. From grammar mistakes to the pedestrian choice of words, I couldn't help but dismiss the essay as *feckless* and of low echelon-the student should be thankful that his paper was the only thing that was dismissed. 😅 (I'd never write such a harsh remark.)
