You better move the colonial Marines. They have far better equipped to than just the pulse rifles and smart guns. They have tanks that fire 60 115mm rounds per minute, equipped with anti missile plasma weapons, internal mortars, operated by crew 2-3. A rapid fire mortar should be to every marine platoon, 2 of either a 70mm semi automatic rocket launcher or a plasma weapon that can knock a tank at 1000 meters. Exo suits with rotary cannons flamethrower, and can equipped lasers.

If I did, Mobile Infantry ("no exosuits" one) would be on top of this list, due to "virtue" of Oxygen Nukes being spammed everywhere. I also judge them by discipline, training, culture, battle fervour, looks, how they fare against their enemies and how powerful these enemies are. But yeah, I know of Colonial Marines arsenal. And I say that single HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark I ADS would wipe an entire company of Colonials.

As for what they wear, the BDU they wear not look like much, but it's actually treated with special fabrics to break their IR signature, with several things completely hiding it. Admitty, the movie colonial Marines mess this up by not wearing it, but just a platoon sent to check a small colony. While not directly mention, we can assume the colonial Marines are the successor to the United States Marines. So the same kind of culture in our RW Marines can be expected from colonial Marines, so one of the military forces with the highest battle fervour, discipline, and bravery. As for movies, they were probably the "guys on hand" and literally walked into the bugs nest when ambushed, and still some of them made it out. As for their enemy, in expanded lore, the aliens are actually a threat on par with the zerg or nids from Warhammer. Despite that, the colonial Marines has been on front lines against them, and they win. Though humanity ( and even the predators) are consider a backwood problem by queen mothers( two steps above the normal queens) who has telepathic powers that can reach across several solar systems away, even affecting humans.

It made an "ass" out of "u" and "me". So, no we will not assume that they are a successor ot US Marines. I will only rate what I see in media and currently I'm pretty dissapointed. Sorry. Uhh, in all Alien/Predator media I saw (which is a lot) Colonial Marines where geting their shit kicked in. Except that strategy game (AvP: Extinction) and only in their own campaing. Which is dissapointing because even if we take into account all the Xenomorph types across the media (including the toys), they are still shit-tier compared to Zerg and Tyranids. They don't evolve, their numbers are dependant on hosts (so they will run out of units eventually) and what units they have are pretty mild compared to what Zerg and 'nids can dish out.

Now as why they I think they successor force to US Marines, is because they have Marines in name, they are military branch of the US government, and while the US army is mentioned, the US Marines as we know them today is not. So yeah safe to assume that US Marines = US colonial Marines. There not might be as many xenomorphs as zerg or nids, but where terrans can call upon millions of soldiers, and guard number in the trillions. The colonial Marines number between 200,000 to 250,000. As far as getting asses beat in media, well yeah movies they are supposed lose, and videogames level are normally design as closed in internal fighting, where even killing the bugs will get you sprayed with acid and the xenomorphs better melee tools come into to play. Colonial Marines where more concerned with fighting humans enemies or maybe aliens with similar warfare, not acid bleeding, swarming, steel ripping claws, and stealthy monsters. Despite that the colonial Marines normally came out on top, suffering huge losses, but still victorius.

The man with nothing left to lose will fight recklessly and are more dangerous but also less caring of their own self-preservation. Its the man with only one thing left to lose, they will fight with the same ferocity but also will be damn sure to make sure they can KEEP fighting for that one thing. The Clones have only one thing to fight for, The Republic. Without that they are nothing, but they will never throw away their lives needlessly.

Good video. For the 40k ones, you might want to narrow it down to one regiment/world, rather than the entire Imperial Guard. Cadia would be a good choice, as the backstory there is fleshed out, they are some of the best the IG has to offer, and in many way their upbringing is similar to the clones. Same is true for the Death Korps of Krieg, if you want to take a more darker route.

ODST armor is made to be compatible with "armor ability" modules, pretty sure. SPI armor was also built on a similar platform, if I remember correctly, and ODST armor also has more advanced materials for increased energy weapon resistance along with more advanced electronic systems, including VISR. VISR lets an individual "see" through active camouflage by highlighting the cloaked individual's silhouette as an inanimate, alien scum-shaped object.

You should use the Tempesus scions from 40k to make it a more fair fight. They are more standardized then the gaurd and they also have more of a shock troop/ commando role. While the Guard has an insane number of regiments that are so drastically different that they can range from Las lock muskets in firing lines to an army of rambos swing around a jungle, to gasmask wearing fanatics in trenches

I agree with the decision seeing as the Mobile Infantry and the Clone Troopers were the frontline troops of their factions, it makes sense to keep things consistent. If you were to use the Clone Commandos in that comparison, that might work better, but as it is I agree.

Regarding logistics and standardized equipment, the GAR still managed to screw that up. The Phase One armor was apparently overly heavy and restrictive, and didn't provide significant extra protection in trade, compared to later armor Phases. I mean, come on: the Kaminoans knew the precise physiology, kinesiology, training, and equipment of the clones, and weren't exactly new to building clone armies. Lama Su proudly described the GAR as the finest clone army they'd developed - and still had to take the armor back to the drawing board. I like the clones. I really do: they have cool gear, tactical flexibility, and a sense of belonging and purpose that an Astartes would appreciate. But their expense, slow replacement timeline, strategic limitations, and fundamental separation from the civilization they were born to die for means I can't give them the top spot.

Nah, G. The Phase I armor wasn't heavy, it was simply restrictive. It got the job done, protected the Clones in places that needed protecting, but it was somewhat restrictive and uncomfortable at times. It wasn't a piece of junk, it just meant if you wanted to do a commando roll and pull some Rambo shit, you'd have trouble.

Very good video as always, i love when someone to a real documented job :) Just forgot to mention that the second and third wave of clone ( wich arrive in the middle, and the end, of the war) were created and trained during only one year. Some were even not from kamino, but centax 2 ( for the third wave mainly) with much more bad training than those of kamino in the same amount of time of training. rumors even said that there was a secret cloning facilities under coruscant itself to creat elite clone loyal only to palpatine, wich would replace all the loses of the 501 st supposedly.

For 40k you should do kasrkins or strom troopers or perhaps one of the "above average" regiments like the elysians or cadians because regular IG wont stand a chance unless other things are factored in.

You also forgot to mention that the clones blasters were synced up to their helmets to help them aim and had no need of a scope for them. Which means it's harder for someone at random to pick up one of their guns and shoot back accurately without any sights.

You know why the clones merit 5 of 5, because they won and ended a war. Papyrus, these blue clowns wiped them from pandora having sticks and arrows, aliens guys, starship troopers? they were mostly fodder, and halo and Warhammer 40k? they are fighting for ages without end to come. exactly, i really recommend the republic commando books for further lessons in mando'a, they are a fresh take on the clone wars and show a different, jedi critical view (sometimes even a bit extreme). But imperial commando is really weak and lacks plot, so no recommendation there.

Colonial Marines can probably fight clones to standstill. But because of their more versatile loadouts, and weapons that deal a lot damage quickly. In pure skill, clones wins.

Just gonna say, if it was plasma, it would turn you into molten slag when it hit you. Plus the Imperial guard Storm troopers have access to plasma weapons which actually does unlike in SW.

@@adambielen8996 I am not expert, and are actually different ways blasters are described to work, but if I had to guess, the most common method is that plasma is encased in a electric magnetic field. Once it leaves the barrel, the field starts disappearing, such bolt gets larger. Just two cents. Though that field to hurl a slug would be much more energy efficient, and have longer range.

My theory is that the Clones weren't the bulk of the GAR but the Special Forces, Shock Troops and Elite Pilots, the jobs where elite clones would actually be of use and that the bulk of the GAR were non-clones via logistics, communication, etc.

Also some mixtures use Uranium flakes. **Anti-everything Laser Cannon **It allows the user to run faster than normal and to jump straight up in the air 40-50 feet. The Standard United Americas Power armor **Twin 40mm Pulsed Torrent Gattling Guns Or **Twin Railgun Arrays called bullet boxes that have a rate of fire of 1000 rounds a second. The Berserker Kill Team Max or Mox Power Armor. Its armed with. *Twin Pulsed Cannons *Moded SAW machine Guns. *Two 45mm Grenade Launchers *Two Laser Projectors emitting lasers so intense Xenomorphs catch fire. That's a major feat as they are very heat resistant. The United Americas Colonial Military has lots more fantastic weapons, including further in the future.

There are clone troopers who are bonfide superhuman im sure they are called arc troopers. Who literally held off an army of droids to protect the cloning facility in a star wars comic. They are actually pretty different to regular clones in the sense that they are more temperamental and are said to actually be closer to jango in terms of personality. Are kept in incubation tanks unless they really need to be brought out.

Not really, certain Guardsmen such as the Cadians, Death Korps and Catachans are OP Catachans can kill Wookies with one hand! Their special daggers can gut Vader and Rancor to death with one stab! Imperium Scions/Stormtroopers are even more OP! Capable of beating Force Users in CQC!

@@cassu6 This does beg the question. How will the guard be covered? As a whole or as factions? Because no two Imperium factions are alike. Unlike other Sci-Fi armies which have some level of consistency. They are intentionally made that way which is a strength and a weakness. A potential Imperial defector could survive as long as they avoid Palpatine, Vader, or Tarkin. But an Imperium soldier who tries to flee could simply starve long before the Inquistors get to him. Because the man simply doesn't know how to feed himself.
