i think it could be possible if an anime movie were done instead of a series. Theyd have to put a lot of work into it, but it can be done. I think Uzumaki would make a good candidate, as the live action movie didnt do it justice. Gyo was total garbage and the team who made it were in way over their heads, so that would be an example of the "wrong" way to adapt an ito story, and should be observed and studied so that they wouldn't make those same mistakes again.

The fire ice brothers 6 my favorite manga of all time, fair warning, it is NOT for everyone, it’s a dark and eerily real coming of age story that explores hard issues of depression and abuse (weather that be physical, sexual or emotional) If you relate to the characters it forces you to confront yourself, Hiding in public did a few great video essays on it around a year ago and in it he admits that after he finished the last volume, he contemplated suicide for the first time in a long time. The way I described the first few volumes is the extesential philosophy of Evangelion combined with the melancholic feeling of your lie in April but it grows into much more. It’s not perfect, at times it can seem a bit edgy and in your face but overall I think it’s worth the read

Oyasumi Punpun was legitimately life-altering for me. The deep, dark, complicated and sympathetic-yet twisted way Inio Asano writes and draws the darkness of the characters in that manga is just fucking jaw-droppingly excellent. That manga had a measurable impact on the way I see the world and the things I value in life. It was one of those reads for me where you when you're finished you're just sat there in a goddamn trance just soaking in what you've read in silence. Hands down one of the best things I've ever read and I don't ever think it will even get the chance to adapt to anime and if it did it would be a travesty. Also Analysis in Punpun is needed.

Vagabond was based on the novel Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa. The novel was adapted into a series of films decades ago and Musashi was played by Toshiro Mifune.

Teng Thor yeah. Some people forget that Vagabond isn’t an actual adaption of the novel. It’s just based off it. It also took liberty and added more historically accurate depictions of Musashi than the overly romanticized novel. Not to mention the God-level art by Inoue who used a brush to draw! Imagine using a brush to draw manga and the difficulty that comes with it. That’s why for me, Vagabond is superior to Eiji’s Musashi.
