Great video as usual....the Johnny Winter Second Winter is definitely one of his best! On a side note I use the 4th side which is blank for my Turntable and checking and measuring anti-skate whenever I switch cartridges....works like a charm every time 😉😉

Not only are these all good albums, they are all good for you! Listen to them from the beginning to end while reading the liner notes, and you are bound to learn or feel something new and inspiring by the end. A lot of work went into making and distributing these, and a few bucks is a very small price to pay for the value you receive.

Hey Dillon- great list. Glad to see you're into Emmitt Rhodes. I've had that album since it came out, which I believe is 1970. Rumor has it that the cover is a picture of Grace Slick's burned out basement !

Mountain was a fantastic band, but it wasn't just about about Leslie West. Felix Pappalardi who played base and occasionally keyboards was an incredibly talented songwriter. The most well known line-up also included Corky Laing on drums and Steve Knight on keyboards - à great band. "Climbing" is one of the best debut albums of all time in my opinion.

I was on a roll yesterday and picked up 4 records under 10 bucks each: Jeff Beck-Wired for $5, Santana Self Titled for $7, Steeve Miller-Fly Like an Eagle for $10, and Albert Collins-Ice Pickin for $10. Hi Dillon. Great video, really enjoyed it. I have a soft spot in my heart for that Iron Butterfly album. I was 15-years old when I bought it as my first album in 1969. I lost my album collection in the 80s, but I do have over 6,100 CDs. But I still like to sit down and relax to “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vita” and think about that 15-year old boy. Coincidentally, I paid 4 dollars for it back then, so the albums you reviewed in this video are seriously good value. Thanks.

As for price stickers, there’s stickers that don’t damage covers and peel really easily. But one of my local stores puts a loose index card with the artist and title and price in the sleeve on anything on the wall, with easy peeling stickers on the regular stock.

-I'll agree with you that Second Winter is a phenomenal album. I bought it when it came out and it's still my favorite album by Johnny. -I'm surprised that you didn't mention that Rod Stewart (when he was cool) and Ronnie Wood (on bass) were members of the Jeff Beck Group. Mickey Waller was a great (if sloppy) drummer too. -One of the stores I used to shop at in the 70's & 80's put hard-to-remove stickers on both the album cover and also the record itself in the label area so that customers couldn't switch out a near mint album into a cover of the same record with a fair condition album. I've got dozens of records in my collection that still have those labels.

The first two Procol Harum albums, which Robin Trower played on, are also easy to find at very reasonable prices in addition to being some of the finest music that was recorded in the 1960s...... To your list you should add the second Emmit Rhodes album: Mirror. Wouldn't it be interesting if we found out that the person who really wrote a lot of The Beatles songs that are credited to McCartney were ghost-written by ER. I appreciate that the prices that you charge are very reasonable and that you are not a gouger....... you're obviously more than just a businessman....thank you.

I love Steely Dan especially their first album but Aja is also fantastic. I love that Santana album, the cover graphic is fantastic and that YES album is my favorite too. I have all of the Mountain albums except the "Best Of" album, the "Nantucket Sleighride" is my favorite. I don't have the Nektar album but have seen it before. I don't have the Jeff Beck "Truth" album but wish I did along with a few other of his records. I don't have the Canned Heat album but it was another record that I saw in the Cut-Out bins for $1.00 back in the day. I was never into Robin Trower so I don't have any of his records. Nice video! I have 6 of these, and a few were free from a buddy, and the rest, I paid not much for - all in good shape. I have CSN, self titled from '69, a good album but for years I thought it lacked bass and too shrill, but these days, not so much, it was my equipment back then is why. Aja, all of Steely Dan is great. I have an original ABC pressing of Aja, original of Gaucho and a few others like the Royal Scam, Pretzel Logic and the Royal Scam, I don't think I paid more than $5-10 for any of those. Aja and Gaucho were from the GoodWill about 15 years ago and I believe I paid .99/$1.00 for each and both are in good shape, more or less. Was given Santana's first LP, an original 2-eye pressing at that, fantastic. I don't think I paid all that much for Abraxas and less for a few others like Caravan as they came, again from the GoodWill for no more than $1.99 each. I ended up with Yes, Fragile, it's not a great copy as far as condition, but I wound up with a recycling crate full of trashed albums (in various states of being trashed at that) nearly 20 years ago now. That Court and Spark you showed looks to be an original as I think reissues don't have the embossed cover. I have an original myself of that album, found like a bunch of her others from, yet again,. the GW for almost nothing perhaps 15 years ago, maybe a bit more? Found Cricklewood Green in recent years for Love Like a Man for not too much and I think it's on the original Deram label, but not on the later versions of the same label if memory serves. Last year, I found a fairly clean original early press of Workingman's Dead for $13, only issue is a slight crease in one corner, grabbed it, oh you bet I did! I often find these for like, $25 and the cover totally split out but the LP, maybe in decent shape. My back tip on artwork is actually upside down! a hallmark of being an early olive green WB pressing. I didn't even have to hunt for it as it was in the bargain bins at my local record store last year. Anyway, if one is willing to do some hunting, one can avoid the $18-24 for a new reissue and find an original, or early reissue of an older album that's quite common back in the day and likely pay under $10 for something in really nice shape quite easily.
