10. TIGER
Cynthia Lee Gamble, an experienced tiger handler who lived in Danforth Township, Minnesota, unexpectedly lost her life to one of her big cats in 2006. The 52-year-old woman’s remains were discovered in an enclosure on her property, where a 500-pound Bengal tiger had mauled her to death.
9. PYTHON
A 31-year-old Hampshire, England man named Dan Brandon learned the hard way that it is actually possible to love someone to death when, in August 2018, his eight-foot (2.4 meters) long African rock python, ironically named Tiny, attacked him. Brandon’s mother found him unconscious on his bedroom floor with the snake nearby, and it was unfortunately too late to save him.
8. Wolf Dogs
Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania resident Sandra L. Piovesan was extremely devoted to the nine wolf dogs she spent 10 years of her life raising since they were cubs. That all changed in July 2006, when the 50-year-old woman’s body was discovered at her home in Salem Township, inside an enclosure where she kept the canine hybrids.
7. PIGS
In 2012, a 69-year-old farmer named Terry Vance Garner went outside to feed the pigs at his rural Coos County, Oregon property and never returned. His family later found his dentures and body parts in the pigs’ enclosure.
6. Humphrey The Hippo
After ignoring repeated warnings that his pet hippopotamus, Humphrey, was a dangerous wild animal who could never truly be tamed, Marius Els, a South African farmer and army major, was found dead, submerged and mutilated in a river. His pet hippo had bitten him to death.
5. CATS
Back in July 2010, humane officials were given the gruesome task of removing a dozen cats from an Albion, Pennsylvania home, where a 74-year-old former teacher named Herbert Walden and his 94-year-old mother, Jane, were found dead. Enough time had passed -- over a week, authorities believed -- for the cats to become desperate for food and start eating the elderly gentleman’s foot.
4. SPIDERS, BUGS, AND LIZARDS
This next story is somewhat of an internet/urban legend, claiming that residents of an apartment building in Dortmund, Germany noticed an unbearable stench coming from a neighbor’s unit and summoned police to the scene. What the authorities supposedly encountered was nightmarish: the dead body of the apartment’s occupant, Mark Voegel, had been gnawed on by hundreds of spiders, several snakes, thousands of termites, and a gecko.
3. Teddy The Black Bear
Ross Township, Pennsylvania resident Kelly Ann Walz loved the animals she kept in her hilltop menagerie, which included a tiger, mountain lion, and a 350-pound (159 kg) black bear named Teddy. Get it? Lions tigers and bears??
2. MONITOR LIZARDS
When Ronald Huff of Newark, Delaware didn’t show up for work one day in 2002, police conducted a welfare check. What they found inside Huff’s home was nothing short of horrifying: the man’s corpse, propped upright against a door, being devoured by his seven Nile Monitor Lizards. The six-foot (1.8 meters) long creatures were covered in their owner’s blood, and had consumed his face, hands, and some of his internal organs.
1. Travis The Chimp
Sometimes, you just have to wonder what people are thinking. Why do you want a chimp as a pet? They are incredibly smart and loving but they are also strong and wild and don’t really belong in a home. Unfortunately for a woman named Charla Nash, her best friend’s chimp Travis, turned on her and attacked her.

yeah its definitely ego that causes humans to think they can own wild animals like pets. I think its a rare person thats stupid enough to get one out of ignorance, these people know exactly what they're getting into but think 'not me', that they know enough, or can make a bond strong enough

Every day on the road, within the city and on the Highways, I see horrid drivers and many of them are on their phones. I believe it has more to do with *selfishness* than anything else, however, I often see these selfish people also behaving stupid-ignorant-arrogant. It's dumbfounding. Even when others try and say something to these selfish people they just ignore them and continue being idiots. It's so sick and bad that over the past 4 years I have had to teach my two children to watch out for these kinds of people and get use to being alone for a long time before finding 1 decent friend. It's a hard reality to swallow, that there are so many people who are selfish, greedy, stupid and arrogant idiots, but that's the reality of the situation and the cowards walking about today scares the hell out of me. Not to mention that even I have a hard time telling the difference between anything and everything. Perhaps living like the Amish isn't such a bad idea.

My sister had a teacher in HS. The woman had a python she always slept next to since it was small. The snake always slept curled up. Then she told my sister’s class it was acting peculiar. The snake was sleeping length ways next to her. She took it to the vet. Vet being wise, said, “your snake isn’t being peculiar. It’s big enough that it’s sizing you up to eat you.” Once the snake is bigger than you- IT’S TIME TO EAT YOU. There’s no such this as an “affectionate hug” from your python. You have a wild animal- that is used to eating for survival. It didn’t decide because you all sat on the couch and watched a movie that it’s animal instincts are gone now. 😱🤦‍♀️

She had it coming, completely. Travis ate some left out Xanax (which makes humans aggressive, so you can guess how it affects chimpanzees) and got angry when the woman arrived. I mean, literally any creature can feel affection since emotions are just different excreting chemicals inside the brain. If it has a brain then it feels things. And every animal has instincts to survive. It's how we all survive.

The evidence is certainly not on your side. There are plenty of reptiles that can have bonds with their owners much like a cat or a dog. Tegus are a great example.

Maybe not affection but my snakes have trust in me. They're socialized due to continuos handling. As long as you handle them with no negative events(dropping them, squeezing them too hard, scary erratic movements also stress them out) and they do recognize your scent and recognize you as the one who brings them food and water they will trust you. My kingsnake is like a cute little puppy dog and she's never bitten me. But affection? Maybe not but trust is beautiful as well

That's not funny. The woman who owned the chimp had mental problems. And her friend wasn't too bright either because she was foolish enough to think that she could calm the chimp or help although even the owner couldn't. Besides that, the owner had the chimp on medication, which is something the video didn't mention. This happened in Connecticut. I remember when it happened.

Trying to befriend and openly Love the wild? It's much like the love for a cat or a dog.. Just a more dangerous animal.. Then again, some never had common sense and some lose common sense because they put trust in the animal and the "bond" they have together.. Which some animals have, but some people actually only think the animals have a bond with them like they have the animals.. Still their natural instinct can always pop up, since their dna isn't evolutionairy switched, and never will be, to being domesticated.. We simply don't speak the same language.. So you can't have conversations with an animal about science for example so there will never be complete comprehension for the other species.. Our instincts are wired differently.. Yet are sometimes so similar but in different ways.. That's a barrière for a lot of things, we co exist, we don't co operate, and if we do (like dogs with police force), it's because 1 specie (in this case human) had the upperhand and used the other species instinct to make it happen ( in this case alpha and follower as in natural pack behaviour). It is not a mutual decision where both decided this together.. If you look at the behaviour of a feral cat you start to understand; instinct, even in humans, has never actually died out.. No one will ever be truly "domesticated".. It's just an illusion to make co existance easier, practical and as well more fun..

#9 was terrifying. I found the footage of villagers finding the woman's body inside the snake. And she was simply gardening, not like she was trying to provoke the snake. Unfortunate circumstances at the wrong time. 😰 Also, this should be a lesson for people to not keep wild animals. It does not matter if you raised them from infancy or been around them for a decade or more, all it takes is one wrong mistake by you or some sort of animal instinct in them and you're a goner.

I remember when the last story dealing with the chimp happenned. This video only gives the basics. What happened was the Connecticut woman had the chimp on medication, had started treating the chimp like a replacement to her husband, and the chimp had grown huge, and was unmanageable. The woman had called her friend over to help because, if my memory's correct, the woman was locked in her own car. When the friend came over, she had a different hair style, which may or may not have had anything to do with the chimp's reaction since it was already being agressive. I will spare you of the gory details. But the woman did have to get surgery and was one of the few people to have had a facial transplant (with someone else's face).

I first learned this in middle school and still effective to this day. Dosent matter how or what age you raised a wild animal, especially a predator. Once it becomes mature, it'll turn on you out of instincts with no regard of affection or friendship for it's owner if they continue to stay with them. The stories said in here were real horrific
