The even bigger sin of the ending OVA of Oreimo was that after that summer, they broke up and acted like it it never happened. I liked S1 and 2 and have no clue why he broke up with his one gf before his sister was insane. The popularity crashed after that August.
@bunnybootsink9258Ай бұрын
They broke up because the publisher chickened out at the last minute and forced the writer to change the ending despite knowing what they bought into.
@didybopintitysАй бұрын
So are you saying he broke up with his sister to be with one of the other girls? Or he broke up with his gf to be with his sister? Lol
@SwedishGuitarHero2Ай бұрын
@didybopintitys In S2, he dated the shorter black haired one that cosplays and they had a healthy relationship. End of the season he feels it wasn't right and the season ends with them being friends. Then these OVAs came out and instead of not only not going back to that girl, he also had a childhood friend that also thought that he dating/ marrying his sister is insane and the sister and her get into fisty cuffs with eachother. The ending is super abrupt and the ending monolog is him saying "we called it quits after the summer and pretended like it never happened" Was insane at the time for an OVA let alone that climate for anime lol
@iamlorddems3859Ай бұрын
The bigger sin is that he does end up with the other girls in other canon endings. (It is based upon a Visual Novel and that was just one of the routes)
@binchillin888Ай бұрын
The gf broke up with him because she 1. Moved away and 2. Supported the sister and brother being in a relationship. That's what I remember anyway. I could be wrong about the second part. But towards the end of the series near Christmas time, Saori (the Otaku girl that is actually rich and pretty) and Kuroneko/Ruri (his exgf) show up to support them (and possibly help look for his sister that ran away or something. It's been like 10 years since I've seen it.

So... About Pupa. The story is mainly about domestic abuse, the cycle of abuse, coming to terms with your trauma, monsters, cannibalism, and yes incest. The TL;DR version of this weird ass series is basically •kids dad is an abusive prick who was also abused and grew up around people with no sense of morals •sister is actually one of two monsters referred to as "pupa" that can mimic other animals. Think Parasyte •brother isn't auto deleted by a virus made from the pupa because he has antibodies. When he was a toddler both siblings got hit by a truck, and to save him the monster sister had him eat some of her flesh in order to heal his wounds •whacko scientist finds the two immortal monsters in larva form, lots of not ok experiments happen •lots of incest flavored cannibalism happens, but the 2 never actually get past holding hands as far as relationship goes •crazy scientist makes her self pregnant with incest monster baby •brother becomes a monster too •more weird ass cannibalism •siblings reach the last "stage" of the monsters and turn into butterflies while monster baby hangs out with its adoptive uncle The story is hella weird, but that's to be expected from this author. Its less messed up than Fire Punch IMO. I'd make a video explaining it better but idk how to make one... plus my computer is a potato.
@calippo42022 ай бұрын
I was about to say. I was thinking that fire punch was more fucked up imo. But I gotta say that FP was also more meaningful to me and you can justifiy some weird themes much better when you convince your audience of the message you are trying to send.
@kozyquiche2 ай бұрын
@@calippo4202 i hear you man. Personally I found pupa to be more meaningful because i grew up in an environment similar to the siblings, so seeing them eventually break the cycle of abuse had a lot of meaning for me. The would ABSOLUTELY recommend the manga, and not the anime. Plus their love never turned into incest given they were never realt3d to begin with. The sister in Pupa wasn't even his real sister since he was an only child. The sister was actually and is an alien lifeforms made by a scientist which it had escaped from. What is weird and interesting is the rules on production of a series. There are 3 things that need to be in a series to consider it for children. There are also 3 things that make the series consider instantly mature. (1) Breast jiggle animation (2) Setting up rules in the first episode or second episode (3) Sticking to a theme If you have those 3 the show is ok for children. (1) creative language in translations (2) mature explanation (3) Using more that 15 colors in the drawing/animation There are a few series that are considered for children until philosophy is brought up. There are 3 series that are considered Adult series in Japan but kids shows in America.

Where the brother knows she's not her blood sister, but the sister learn it too but keep it a secret from everyone (except the parents who obviously knew, but she ask them not to tell a word about it)... and then proceed to go full round on her "brother" who still doesn't know she knows...

Normally I wouldn’t try to correct these show breakdowns but OniAi was different from how it was described, at least somewhat. It was technically under the incest tag, but if I remember right the siblings weren’t actually related. This came out of the MCs own monologue at the end but the freaky brocon sister didn’t know that so yikes 😅. And the lady you described as a teacher seducing him was actually his book editor who was overreacting thinking he was obsessed with his sister and didn’t understand it was the other way around. So she was trying to seduce him so he would understand the “appeal “ of an older or real woman. Minus the cringey brocon scenes it was an entertaining show at least.

@@socksensei I was actually bored enough when nothing good anime wise was in season and someone recommended it. It was a little silly but not too bad overall if you can get over the characters eccentricity. Especially the brocon sister parts. What’s actually kind of funny is at the end the MC monologues about his sister. And how he’s glad she doesn’t remember they aren’t actually blood relatives but he’s won’t tell her that because he fears she really would go all out trying to seduce him and he just doesn’t see her as anything other than his sister and that’s obviously a no go for him.

I've said before many women SAY they want a "Princess Wedding," but if you REALLY want to be married to a man with significant inbreeding, who hasn't bathed in a month, or seen a dentist in a DECADE it can be arranged. Also to keep it like a REAL Princess Wedding it would be ARRANGED.

The sad thing is, I've actually seen 8/10 shows you mentioned here. Ether I'm old and I need help, or it's time for me to die.

aaa Pupa, I remember how when it launched people were saying how bad the adaptation was and how the manga was faaaar better. Kennel Tokorozawa... sometimes I wonder how humanity has survived this long and the worst part is that there has been modern animes regarding dogs. Eiken, I remember watching it and kinda got bored, it was a manga an actual long manga with 137 chapters translated and with 18 volumes, I remember trying to read it and... kinda got bored, there is a wiki of the anime and how there is actually a romance progression but the tropes are kinda stale, I suppose modern ecchi has improved the tropes better, I mean Eiken is from 2001 ecchi was in its infancy at that point. I might actually read the manga... but first I am going to read Sailor Moon.
