Relevant, interesting succinct and well filmed. Can't wait to c what u do over the next few years.. Damn kid.... Great work

You're a great guide Cal. I haven't been in India since the early 1970's but am seriously contemplating a return this Fall for a couple of months. At age 73 now I"m not interested in spending much time in the cities. More interested in Himalayan retreats and wildlife reserves. I think the cities would really exhaust me quickly.

Not all of Delhi is chaotic, some parts certainly are and others can be quite serene, green and quiet. Personally l wouldnt stay in Paharganj, you need a break from the noise of the chaotic areas so l would opt for central areas like Golf Links, Jorbagh or Sunder Nagar or slightly further south but still commutable distances Hauz Khas or Greater Kailash (gk1 or gk2). Also Delhi Metro covers much of the city making commuting quick easy and cheap.

Heading to Delhi in September for one day only! Will go to the Lotus temple as that looks amazing! I'll be going to Agra and staying there after my yoga training for a couple of days then heading back to Delhi to fly home again. Thank you advice although the music is silly!! It reminds me of Alvin and the Chipmunks from years ago!! 💕✨🙏🏻✨💕

Thank you for your concern but I’m sure it’ll be perfect. I’ve wanted to go to India for many years now and am prepared for it all from the crowds, to pollution, to slums etc as it’s all a part of India. I’m not one of those tourists who gets all funny when they see stuff that they wouldn’t see in their own country and to be honest, there are places in Europe which are unpleasant too. I’m well prepared for all eventualities, willing to be open and enjoy everything India has to offer whether good or bad as just seeing the good isn’t the whole picture.

It’s a good idea to take some dewormer for intestinal worms when you get home from India, tape worms, round worms and pinworms as hygiene standards aren’t the best.

Enjoy wonderful, diverse India, by all means. There is a lot to explore and do. I did when I went in my 20s. But please please do NOT ever ride the elephants. These are wild animals brutalised by cruel crush training methods when they are babies and then neglected, malnourished and overworked all their miserable lives and are often beaten and prodded with ankers and bull-hooks to make them fearful of their Mahouts. Their spines are not designed to carry heavy loads either. Have some compassion and you will enjoy your trip so much more. If you are in the Mathura area in the North, do visit Wildlife SOS animal sanctuary. If you visit in person (or volunteer) you will also be introduced to some wonderful now happier and well treated rescued elephants too who spent their former lives as begging elephants, circus elephants and riding elephants. You can just hang out there or help feed and walk them if you volunteer. There is a Wildlife SOS website too and a facebook page. Go check it out. If you visit Amber Fort just use a taxi or rickshaw to get to the top. Don't feed the animal exploitation industry at all: avoid circuses, elephant football, don't give money to those with begging elephants and avoid snake charmers too.

Next time you come by please ask an Indian to like guide you around to the places you ought to go to. Also there is a lot people asking you guys to the north or the Himalayas and the South, try out the seven sisters or Munnar in Kerala or the Andaman islands or coorg or the union territories( i recommend Diu and Daman) or well my home Gujarat. Or like research a place properly before going.
