I've been on 40 mgs of Atorvastatin for 10 years for high cholesterol. Always about 200-240. The medicine doe's not make my levels go down. I also had an 85% blockage and had a heart stent put in last September. I have rheumatoid arthritis and all of my doctors keep telling me that the awful joint and muscle pain is due to RA. My RA levels are normal for the last few years, but the pain is so bad I can hardly walk, roll over in bed, etc. I stopped taking Atorvastatin a few weeks ago and I feel like a new woman! I am 65 years young and have my Life back! My blood work shows my cholesterol down to 180, most likely due to my way of eating more RED MEAT and low carb foods. Thank you Dr. Berry!!!!!!!

No wonder you feel like a new woman. I have osteoarthritis and went through the same thing, except I didn't take the statin for as long as you, but there is a real connection between increased pain and statins in some people. You might wish to check out the benefits of supplements like fish and borage oil for arthritis. Good luck to you.

After 3 y , I understood that Atorvastatin is causing all my problems. So I stopped taking it. In a week 's time, I was totally free from both the problems. 25 year old. Was informed that I had high cholesterol at the end of age 24, was prescribed ATO 10mg 30 day supply, before all this was having anxiety attacks, where my hearts racing, freaking out, hands/legs going numb, mind telling me this is it, but, after taking 7 Tabs of Atorvastatin, felt muscle aches on my left side of the body and only the left, heart/chest pain, stopped taking it 10 days ago from today, still having that pain on the back of ny left arm, running through the left side of my chest, praying it’ll go away.

I was started six weeks ago on Atorvastatin after having a TIA. I had refused statins for years despite my cholesterol being high simply because l had researched how harmful they are. After the TIA the consultant convinced me l had little choice so l sadly and very reluctantly started them. I was advised to take it at night before going to bed. The first night l woke with visualisations. I knew they weren't there but could see big boxes in the darkness. Throughput the month these sleep distances happened 4 to 5 times. I also had pins and needles in both hands that would wake me up. In the mornings my legs felt heavy which normally wore off after a couple of hours. I decided that was me done with them. What l found most concerning when l stopped them was l hadn’t been aware how my mood had been gradually deteriorated and l was feeling my life was done. It's been two weeks since l stopped them, all side effects have stopped and l feel like my old self. 😊

My husband had an iscemic stroke in January, with no effects after. After all thes tests they ran they still couldnt find what caused it, it was a 5 minute episode that resolved itself. No clots found anywhere, heart, arteries and veins all in great shape. They put him on a 2nd bp med plus aspirin and avoristatin. Hes been complaining about being very tired, and now his joints are hurting worse than before this all happened. I've had him taking a good quality coq10 400mg since he started taking the statin. It's been frustrating to deal with all this, we both made lifestyle changes but I didn't want him on statins in the first place. His cholesterol numbers weren't even that high to begin with yet all the drs were insistent on the statin and said he'd be on them for the rest of his life. I've been showing him all these different drs talking about them.

I was prescribed Lipitor for cholesterol reduction. Three months later I was in the hospital being treated for Pancreatitis. After I was released I started doing my own research on the affects of taking Statins. I looked at several studies which indicated that in some patients statins will cause Pancreatitis. My doctor was incredulous and strongly disagreed, I changed physicians. One of the other thing I learned is that people who have had Pancreatitis are at twice the risk of developing Pancreatic cancer than the rest of the population. Thank you Lipitor! That was in 2008 and I have no problems with my heart, in fact, my current physician tells me I have a very strong heart. In about a month I will be eighty years olds and I can do a fair days work. Keep up the good work Doc.

Hi. Great video. I’ve been on statins for 12 years. 2 years back I started getting severe pains in my hands. As I do a lot of cycling my GP said stop cycling! No way. So for a year I went to specialists who thought May be I had RA, but the blood tests where all fine. Board over New Year this year, and fed up of the pain reoccurring, I started searching the Internet for the words hand pain and statins and sure enough it came back with several studies on ‘peripheral neuropathy’. Damage to nerves, weakness, numbness and pain in the hands and feet. I stopped taking the statins that day, that’s 5 months back, my hand pain has gone, my tendons are stronger and I’m cycling further and faster than ever. Thanks Dr Berry, appreciate all you do, I’m also ketogenic! But that’s another story thanks to you. Best Regards.

I finally just said "screw it! I would rather be dead than live like this.....my cardiologist INSISTED I need to take something. He gave me a different drug...one side effect was GALL STONES!! he didn't ask if I was already troubled with stones.....then after MANY, MANY, MANY gall bladder attacks, I started googling what to do...dropped that drug, went keto, lost 35 pounds, (which I had absolutely given up on!) and now my gall bladder is much happier ..don't, WON"T take a statin and at 70, I feel better than I have felt since I was 40! My total cholestral was 189 ( HDL 78 tri 43 ) but my cardiologist recommeded that I go on a statin to get it down to about 145. When I cunsulted with my primary and told him about my concerns he told me that he understood and would leave the decision up to me because that I was not the typical case . In many cases the patient is over weight and has a bad diet, little excersize and does not want to change so instead takes statins. I workout 3 times a week, play golf 3 times a week, walk my dog and get 10,000 t0 15,000 steps every day (fitbit). I am in my mid 70s 5"9" 165 lbs. My decision was no statins and continue doing what I am doing. I can do a lilttle better with my diet to get the LDL number down. I have had to cut my minimum 5mg BP meds in half over the past year. Thank You for the 10 bad things and those commenting , I feel I made the right decision .

I’ve had widespread pain throughout my body for some time. My muscles ached and felt clenched all the time. And the fatigue was awful. My doctor told me it was probably fibromyalgia, and my therapist said the pain was from depression. My brother and his wife said they had the same issue so they stopped the statin drug and the pain and fatigue went away. I just tried stopping my statin drug over a week ago and all the pain is almost gone. No more fatigue.

I feel that the doctors that push this drug, need to be on it themselves to understand how awful the side effects can be. Doctors do not receive "kickbacks" from big pharma; that is illegal. They are so overwhelmed by the DA-N Government demands for PAPERWORK that they can't treat patients like they think is proper. BUREAUCRATS and INSURANCE COMPANIES CONTROL health care now-it is CRIMINAL!!! Medicare& Medicaid have caused the ridiculous increase in healthcare costs because they are HUGE BUREACRACIES, which cost us citizens a huge amount in taxes to pay for these frequently not smart administrators who know VERY LITTLE about proper healthcare. Get Federal Government & insurance companies OUT of PRACTICING MEDICINE, and let people decide on what doctors to see, what meds to take, and PREVENT BIG GOV, BIG INSURANCE & BIG PHARMA from tracking us and the doctors. Indeed the warnings in 1984 are REALITY now. Elect sensible Conservatives to reduce bureacuracies and break their hold on us citizens.

Ask yourself has anyone ever died of sore muscles , fatigue , ED , restlessness etc ? Now ask yourself how many people have died of coronary heart disease because they didn’t use a statin ? The answer to that one is millions . . I don’t like having to take statins either it really annoys me but I’m genetically predisposed to high cholesterol and diet will only ever alter your cholesterol in a very small way . My advice is to not question your doctor on the use of a statin but question him on the dosage . Take half of what he says and get a 3 month blood test . You won’t die in 3 months because you halved the dose ! The facts are that statins will add significant years to your life and the effects of high cholesterol and triglycerides will suddenly cut you down . It truely is a silent killer . I’ll take my chances on a low dose statin thanks .

He rotated me on different statins until I couldn't stand the muscle pain and weakness anymore. Since I ditched the statins and PCSK-9 medications, my quadriceps muscles are slowly healing via working out 3 xs a week. I'm finally getting where I have little to no pain in my legs and the strength is coming back. My very strong belief is that what keeps me healthy and happy with a strong heart is just what you described: staying active! Aside from all the aches and pains, I started accumulating heart calcium, likely due to a lower K2. After 20 years I had a heart calcium of 650. 5 years later, after finally quitting statins on my own despite my doctors urging, I register a score of 905. Then, I found a Leyden, Holland study which indicated statins contribute to heart calcium. With the 905 score and what felt like a heart turning to concrete, I went to a cardiologist who's first comment was, "Well, we need to get you back on a statin..." I asked him what his statin would do that 25 years on simvastatin would not do and he sat silent for 30 seconds before offering some stupid answer. I suggested we do a stress treadmill and he agreed. Once I passed that, I fired my cardiologist. Went on high K-2 and Vitamin D for a year and my heart feels much better. Maintaining K2 and EDTA supplements to undo what the darn statins did to me. My low testosterone recovered and I feel much better.

Actually the statins do not cause Heart disease. Your calcium score , after taking a statin will go up because one of the things a statin does is to stabilize plaque as well as reduce inflammation.. Harder plaque is more stable and less likely to break off and travel causing heart attack, etc. So, if you calcium score increased it is a result of the statin doing what its supposed to do. It is alarming because you'd think you have more blockage but that is deceiving. You now have more stable plaque.

He should have spoken more about some genetic markers that in spite of some side effects, make statins a good choice for some. A co worker asked me if I was on a statin and told her yes, and she said that's what's causing your symptoms. I quit taking them and my energy came back and no longer had my body hurting. My dr still kept trying to put me on something even though thru diet and exercise my triglycerides and my HDL were in a normal range but the total was 240 which was down from 302. His comment was yes your doing good BUT let's put you on something to help you get it down and assured me it wasn't a statin. He gave me a couple sample boxes and with my insurance was going to cost around 120 per month, and I looked up info on it and first line said this is a statin. I threw the stuff away. After 5 months on keto, I had a minor stroke that affected my speech. It took 4 hospitalists and 4 attempts to even see a small white dot on my scan. I was told I was killing myself eating keto and put on a statin. Research educated me to stop statins and figured out taking gobs of calcium without magnesium probably contributed to my stroke. My high cholesterol and keto probably protected me from having a worse stroke. I take mag, but not calcium since I get enough in food. My liver function was great till I got tested after taking the statin. 4 years on keto and 5 months on carnivore and I’m doing pretty good. I don’t have a fear of not taking the statin. Being keto/carnivore has been one of the best things that has happened to my health. To this day, I have no residual issues from the stroke from 4 yrs ago. The cardiologist who did a bubbles procedure to see if I had a leak in my heart, told me my heart looked 20 yrs younger and told me to continue doing whatever I was doing, despite warning me before the procedure that keto was a bad diet.

Just came across your channel this morning. Yesterday, had a neurologist try to convince my husband he needed to stay on his statin. I rebuked it and told her why. Her response was; "Of course you can find anything on the internet." Fun fact, my background as a legal researcher (13 years), who worked for a lawyer who was also a physician, means I know how to research. In addition, my father was a biochemist who was many years ahead of his time with regard to supplements and nutrition. He was 80 years of age when he died and he died only because of a certain "juice" he took in his arm for reasons he later regretted. Basically, it was the first time he went against his own protocol and better judgment. In any event, he was incredibly healthy, active and did not look his age. The reason? He never took any drug a doctor wanted to prescribe aka a statin, but rather took supplements, ate fresh, healthy foods and walked every day.

I started the COVID lockdown in March 2020 while on vacation at one of my sister’s homes and stayed for over a month. During that time I gradually went back to a regular diet. Not only did my weight jump up incredibly high, but so did my cholesterol. The PA I see ran labs on my earlier this month. We started off my office visit with her handing me a copy of my labs and telling me that I needed to go back onto my keto way of eating. She said the whole time I was keto my bad cholesterol NEVER was high and that my labs were always stellar. So I opened up my food tracker and restarted. I’m grateful that she didn’t even attempt to put me on a statin.

My cardiologist convinced me to take statins. After 8 months all my muscles ached, I had an unquenchable thirst, constant sweating and developed a Morton’s neuroma in my foot which caused unbearable pain - all symptoms of pre diabetes. I took my last statin on a Friday night and by Monday morning all my pain and the Morton’s neuroma had gone. I’m only 64 and was beginning to think I had no quality of life.

I was prescribed Atorvastatin in July of 2022, I’ve experienced some of the side effects you mention ED, lack of energy, muscle pain and the issue with memory. It’s been driving me nuts because at 62, it had me wondering if this is what getting old was all about and how was I going to deal and live with these issues. I started doing my own research and have found exactly what you are saying from others. My doctor doesn’t want to listen to me, so I’ve taken myself off them as of a few days ago. I’ll add that my father was on statins for a few years and about 15 years ago he was admitted to the ER because he could hardly move around, he shuffled like he was a 90 year old man when he was in his late 60’s. I’m talking about a man that has always been extremely active. The ER doctor remembered there was a doctor on staff that had the same issues about a year earlier, they called for the doctor to come down to the ER to look at my dad. The first thing that doctor said to my dad was, “Your on Statins aren’t you?” He told my dad he was an active runner and the same thing happened to him, the doctor advised my dad to stop taking them immediately. My dad did, it was a long road to recovery but he did bounce back, my dad who is 82 is now dealing with Dementia, which I’m now convinced was caused by the Statin. Thank you so much for this video, I’m hoping it won’t be too long before I have my energy back, this is an awful feeling.

Horrific back and neck cramps. I have stopped taking them, 3 months later the cramps have subsided a little each day, going to be a long road I fear! My 89yr old mother has just recently stopped taking them cold turkey, had been taking them since her 70s always still showing signs of high cholesterol and extremely high blood pressure readings despite being faithful to the drug. Ended up having a double pacemaker fitted last year due to calcification. Two weeks after stopping atorvastatin her blood pressure has miraculously gone back into the normal range! I don’t like to swear but bloody hell she’s been fighting high blood pressure and heart issues for twenty years so to normalise blood pressure within a fortnight after voluntarily stopping this drug is absolutely shocking - just goes to show.. the reason that she stopped the statin was because she had been prescribed an antibiotic cream to rub into her leg to counteract an infection and when she did that she had a severe burning reaction that was extremely painful so she read the leaflet that came with the cream and it said can react with statins, reactions can be fatal! Omg! A ‘doctor’ had prescribed this knowing her medications! Needless to say she stopped the cream immediately and also the statin, she’s still suffering side effects from combining the drugs, the damage may not be reversible from having the two drugs at once. To me the prescriber should be fired, he has been reported to his colleague. Stopping the statin was a good thing as her blood pressure has normalised but now she has to deal with the lasting after effects of mixing antibiotic# with the statin, I fear it may be a long hard road. Please do not take statins.. if you feel you have to then please do not take any other medication alongside unless you have researched interactions x I wouldn’t want anyone else to be misled by the big pharma who earn mega bucks at the expense of peoples health

After my heart attack I started taking statins along with other drugs. In about six months all the side effects seemed to pile up at once. The side effects included muscle pain and weakness, fatigued, brain fog (almost caused a car accident with the confusion) hearing loss and throbbing ear pain, prediabetic, and my bloodwork came back twice suggesting I might have lupus, statin induced lupus. It's been two years since I quit the rat poison and the muscle pain/weakness continues today. My doctor wants me on some kind of cholesterol lowering drug, but I continue to refuse. When I complain about the ongoing damage from the drug, he said "that's impossible, when you stop the drug, the side effects go away." 🐃💩 Turns out the only thing my doctor is good for is removing skin tags, but that's another topic.

I was on 3 blood pressure drugs and a statin drug for probably 20 years. I was eating the standard western diet and these drugs helped me keep 'good' numbers. My doctor also gave me a testosterone supplement. First a sublingual, then patch, and finally injections. He kept having to freeze patches off of my skin, finally surgically removing cancerous patches. He would also listen for fluid in my lungs every visit. Over time, as I studied nutrition and took gobs of really good vitamins, my body decided to resist the bp meds, and bp began rising anyway. It was about that time the doc retired. I quit all of the drugs cold turkey. (the doc had warned me if I tried to do that, I would suffer dire consequences!) My blood pressure went up a couple of points, and then dropped to what I felt I could live with under the circumstances. I never have gone back to a regular doctor since. It's been about 4 years. I'm thriving now at 78, and since I went keto, it just gets better! The main Point, is that the next day, after I quit the statin drug, I listed out about 25 side affects that I no longer had, including swollen ankles, aches and pains, etc 25! Things just kept getting better from that day on. I tell anyone who will listen, clean up your diet, stay off the drugs! The drugs may make your numbers look good to a doctor, but you will die an early ugly death! Keep plugging away Dr B!

To suggest EVERYONE comes off statins based on your own circumstances is a little irresponsible. Don't forget that 99 percent of people in this discussion are from the group that has had bad experience of statins, or else they wouldn't be searching for/watching this video. A worldwide study determined that less than 10 percent of all patients taking statins experience any negative side effects at all. The fact that is being overlooked here is that statins work perfectly well for most patients and are an important life- preserving medication.

BC I’d love to know if you’d be willing to share the reason for such a high dose for you. Have you had a heart attack or a stent? My doctor also prescribed 80 mg. of Atorvastatin because I had a high coronary calcium score of 420 but no heart attack, no stroke, no stents, good A1c, above average on my echo stress test, not overweight, don’t smoke or drink, etc. After about a year I cut the dosage in half without even talking to the doctor because I just felt about 20 years older. Exhausted all the time. My quality of life had really declined. When I mentioned being tired to the doctor at my 1 year checkup he just blew off my feeling so tired and said I should be lucky I have no other symptoms. Not sure what step to take next. I’d like to find a cardiologist who isn’t so aggressive with the statin dosage. Also, I was on 20 mg. Of Atorvastatin prescribed by my family doctor and had no side effects at all. Thanks.

I take COQ10 to try and counter act the inflammation of my joints but it doesn't really help that much. Unfortunately my heart muscle won’t last much longer, but I managed to save my kids. My mother was started on a statin by a geriatrician and within a few weeks she exhibited significant short term memory loss and balance problems. She looked like she had developed Parkinson's d. because she held herself so stiffly. She said it was because she felt off balance all the time. Eventually, she fell and broke her wrist. She definitely showed improvement once the statins were discontinued but my sibling who had power of attorney (a non-medical person) had the doctor put her back on the statins. Within a few more months, this previously healthy, bright, active 80 year old woman who had been living independently was in a seniors residential care facility, in the unit for residents with Alzheimers. It was nothing short of a tragedy and in my opinion one that could have been avoided completely. I since have nothing to do with my siblings who all supported the reinstatement of statins.

My muscles hurt and I chalked it to being older and thought that the pain I felt was typical of people my age. Beyond that, I was also having severe insomnia. For that, I never even suspected a connection until long after I quit statins. I recall watching many movies at 2:00am because I just wasn't sleeping. Familial cholestrol. Memory loss is my major side effect. Was told it is my imagination. I am 66, healthy, and fit. I refused to take statin due to it. Had to sign an indemnity form to protect the practice from possible lawsuits!! I was also called "ignorant "

After open heart surgery, I was taking a statin at my cardiologists advice. A few months later I could hardly walk down the stairs because of the arthritis pain. A family member told me she had to stop her statin intake because it caused her arthritis to act up. Realized then, that the pain did not start until after I started taking statins. The very next day after I stopped taking it, I could walk down the stairs with less pain. I told that to my cardiologist that story bout the stairs and she said, "that's all in your head." I got a new and better cardiologist the next day. Fast forward a year with new cardiologist, he was great. But I moved to Las Vegas and had to get a new cardiologist. She immediately tried to get me taking statins because as she said, they would save my life by protecting me from a heart attack. I tried 3 different types and all three increased my arthritis pain. So I just stopped taking them at all. Just got back from a visit to the cardiologist, she said my triglycerides were high but other than that, IF I had never had a heart attack, the current blood work would give her no alarms. I have worked hard by changing my diet. No pork or beef. Also, I take psyllium husk which I believe really helps.

My triglycerides are in the stratosphere but ultrasound of my carotid arteries shows only about a 21% narrowing and I'm 76. When my doctor saw that, he backed off the statins. My late husband had "perfect" cholesterol readings but shortly before his 68th birthday, he wasn't feeling well for a few days. The first doctor he went to brushed him off, not doing a single test even tho he hadn't peed very much for a few days. He scheduled an appointment with a new doctor and before he got there, he dropped dead in his bed, unable to get up. We were actually going thru a separation at the time but it was amicable and we were talking about what to do. He called the EMS and must have regained his ability to walk because he refused hospitalization and I can't immagine them leaving him there helpless. This was NOT the US. So, no history of heart problems, low cholesterol and suddenly dead about a month before he turned 68.

Thank you, Doctor, for making this video. About two years ago, I developed “extremely” high liver enzymes that showed up in a blood test. My PCP could not figure out what was causing the problem since I don’t drink alcohol and am 70 years old. He tested me for hemochromatosis because I am Irish and a couple of my relatives have this disease. I had the genetic test which determined I had one of the two genes. I was sent to a gastrointestinal physician for his opinion because my PCP thought I was headed for non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. After I had different blood work done, the physician discontinue the statin I was taking as my cholesterol was normal. Within six months, my liver enzymes returned to normal and I am monitored every three months to make sure that my liver remains normal.

Im in the same boat...same exact situation! Hemochromatosis and elevated liver enzymes and now on a statin that I don't want to take. Also a type 2 diabetic, which Im.sure the statin is.not going to help at all! The only way to fix this is sticking to a strict Keto way of eating. Now if i could just convince the PCP of that.

My mother lost feeling in both of her legs from the knee downwards. She was unable to walk. Her heart was irregular and blood pressure very high. She was hospitalised, and taken off statins after I pointed out that the statins were causing her symptoms. Within three days of going of these statins, she started to regain feeling in her legs. It has been just over a week and she is walking, no heart irregularities, and blood pressure is normal. She is still a little weak, but on the whole, recovering from the damaging effects of statins. Thank you for posting this video

I started taking atorvastatin several months ago. I experienced joint ache so bad that I couldn't lift my arms over my head and tying my shoes was a struggle. I stopped taking it and within a few days, I was feeling better. A month ago my doctor decided to put me on prevastatin. Three weeks in, my muscles began to ache, I had an ache at the base of my neck, and I began to feel exhausted and and foggy. I've stopped taking this one and am looking for a natural alternative. I have begun to realize that doctors and pharmaceutical companies don't make any money curing ailments, but they make a fortune treating them.

I'm Australian and my doctor was always worried about my ldl being a little high, he wanted me to go on Statin. I said I heard it causes all sorts of problems, he said no not the new ones, so I agreed. I was taking it about a year and was having terrible cramps. couldn't even move my toes or feet in bed without getting cramps. I lost count of how many times I had to jump out of bed with them. It got really bad with cramps on the top of my feet so I could hardly walk and then the inside of the top of my leg above the knee. That's a killer. My podiatrist told me that Statins can cause cramps so I stopped right away. hardly ever get cramps now. When I told my doctor I stopped taking them because of cramps he didn't say anything just prescribed another one in a lower dose. Of course I don't take it..

I’m a Pharmacist and mum had severe leg cramps and had to stop her statin. She has switched to another one and a low dose and has not had any problems since 2017. Please be cautious just stopping because ultimately you want to prevent heart attacks and statins have beneficial effects and the benefits far outweigh the risks for example speak to a cardiologist about why you take statins and cardiac ward. All this fear mongering about shingles and DHEA and testosterone is silly 🤪 .

I'm going off my statin today. I've been taking statins for years in fact my problems started around the time I began taking them. I've been diagnosed with fibro myalgia and wondering if it's actually the statins causing all my pain. I heard that doctors have been over diagnosing people with fibro and could it just be the statins. I have lost all trust In doctors, FDA, CDC, Pharmaceutical Co. And I will be doing my own research on what I put in my body from now on.

I was diagnosed with sphincter of oddi three years ago. I accidentally stumbled on a video about statins and how they can effect your liver. For the past week I’ve been in a flare up that wouldn’t settle down. I stopped taking them four days ago. After the first day of not taking them I noticed that my pain was starting to settle down. I hope it gets better soon, this pain is terrible. I’ve also been told that I’m prediabetic but I don’t see how I could be. I’m not overweight, my diet is very modified due to my stomach condition. When I started thinking about this issue I realized that it seemed to have started around the time I was put on the statin.

I was put on statins by my doctor, after a couple of months I started experiencing severe anxiety. I was afraid to go to sleep at night because I thought I was going to suffocate and die. I would stay up until I was exhausted and fell asleep. I went to the doctor to find out what I could do about my anxiety. Fortunately she didn’t prescribe anything like sedative or medication. I ended up goggling about statins and found out one of the side effects was anxiety. I stopped taking them and haven’t had any more issues.

Thank You Dr Berry, I have been on low dose Rosuvastatin 5mg for a year because my cardiologist told me I could have a cardiac event in ten years. I have hypertension and it is controlled. My Cholesterol was 147 and LDL was 60. One year later cholesterol was 91 and LDL was 40. Severe fatigue, low testosterone, dhea, liver enzymes high, constant need to urinate, brain fog. I stopped taking and will not go back on.

I was on Statins for two years, my health deteriorated, we kept doing test, taking all sorts of other medications to make me well. Finally, my doctor and I worked out that it was the statins that were causing the problem. Three month after I stop taking the statins I was well again and have not had another problem over the last ten years. To put it bluntly, statins were killing me slowly...

My cholesterol was up to around 240, my primary suggested Atorvastatin … cholesterol was down to VERY LIW 110. After a while I felt this was dangerously and artificially low. I stopped statins, will not go back re: of my cholesterol numbers we will check in about 2 months. My homocysteine & C-Reactive Protein CRP are normal.
