Please be careful, I'm no doctor but from the multiple accounts and articles I've read it's not the diet that's helped. In fact in an article I read they say being on the carnivore diet with high blood pressure can make it worse, as well it can cause constipation since you consume little fiber when on the diet. Things like bacon or lunch meat can also be high in sodium and as you probably know, high amounts of salt can lead to high blood pressure. You may also be lacking vitamins that are mostly found in things like fruit and vegetables.

My dinner arrived, and I tore into it! (didn’t take long to cook that steak!) A beautiful meal, and about halfway through it, Steve reached across the table, tapped the side of my plate next to the steak with his fingernail, and when I looked up, he said, “You know, that is the best thing you can ever put inside yourself.” Thank you, Steve.

I kept hoping that I would adjust to it, after all, my doctor had told me that there were no real side effects - except "in people's heads." Nine months after discontinuing, I am starting to feel better.

I watched Dr. Berg’s videos few months ago re statins, then Dr. Berry’s. I have been taking crestor 5mg for years to lower my LDL. A years ago I was referred to a cardiologist due to my chest pain plus shortness of breath, Doctor doubled up my crestor dosage to 10 mg. I felt that my muscles and bones, particularly the chest ribs pains were getting worse. Without talking to any doctors I reduced my crestor dosage down to 5 mg daily. It seems that I am feeling better after a month. In today’s regular visit to my family doctor, I requested his approval to reduce my dosage to 5mg (of course I didn’t tell him I have done it myself), he refused and said it is good for my heart. See…. 😂. Taking 40 mg a day of crestor seems to me is unbelievable, I feel hard to believe it 😢

I'm a new registered practical nurse and I hate administering statins to patients, but I feel I don't have enough experience (read: clout) in healthcare yet to advise against it for fear of getting in trouble. It's ridiculous how many medications so many patients are on. The worst is the antibiotics ordered without any gut support. Without fail, tons of our patients end up getting C. Diff, which of course means MORE (harsher) antibiotics. I can't wait to look into studies more and build up my credibility so I can start pushing back against some of these things that worsen patient outcomes. But ultimately I'll have to get out of the hospital setting and into home care because hospitals do not provide holistic health care.

The screeching in my ears was terrible. So I threw the pills in the garbage. My doctor told me a few days later that Crestor had nothing to do with the horrible screeching in my ears. He said it was my fault from exposing myself to too much loud noise and there is no cure for tinnitus. After three months of this mind numbing torture I bought some Bloodroot, made a tincture and in ten days both of my ears were greatly relieved and I could hear about 90% compared to before Crestor. @@bombshelltwo8317 It’s my understanding that you can have a rebound of inflammation if you quit statins suddenly (as in a period of extra inflammation). If I was doing moderate or high dose statins I’d probably taper off over a month or two. I have tried six different statins and they all make my love legs. My muscles hurt. My doctor insists on me taking him but I just keep telling him no I’m not taking them so one time I just took the prescription to make her happy and I just never take statin pills then she stop bugging me

My husband’s doctor recently prescribed Crestor for his cholesterol…. He’s been trying to get him to get on cholesterol meds for years. So they DO still make Crestor. He’s never taken any statin and doesn’t plan on it. We go the natural, holistic route to control the numbers 👍🏼

I started the carnivore diet Aug 24. On October 10 I had to go to the ER for a heart rate at 114 that would not come down. My cholesterol was 351 / LDL 291. I was kept overnight. I am now seeing a cardiologist who put me on 40 mg of crestor (for now). I will stop taking it as soon as my cholesterol goes back to acceptable. I still have upcoming tests scheduled to see WTH happened. My resting heart rate was 58 before I started carnivore. It shot up to 79 in just a week, but I kept at it and kept lifting and doing cardio. I'm 54 and 183 lbs at 5' 10". I had never been in a hospital overnight in my life. Always athletic. Not sure what happened, but I want to find out, asap.

Thank you for sharing this information Dr. Ken. My mother has been on statins for years and over the last year I have finally got her to take the supplements you’ve talked about in this video. I just wish she had started taking these supplements a long time ago.

Thank you Dr Berry. Unfortunately, I have 2’stents in my LAD since 2006. I take the things you say to take.

58yo Aussie male - I have a pituitary disorder that impacts my level of Testosterone. While I take a prescribed T supplement, I’m also aware that my body uses my “good” cholesterol to assist with the production of some of that Testosterone. This impacts the ratio of good to bad cholesterol. My local doctor (and three following), insist that I take a daily dose of statin. Why do so many in the medical profession push statins? Finding a doctor who will partner with you in health monitoring is damn hard these days!

Same here in USA. Corporate MD push all kinds of meds and don't listen. The old MD s in private practice have mostly retired. Finding a good one now almost impossible.

61 year old on statins 2016-early 2019 - never felt worse in my lost 80% of my strength & stamina with unrelenting pain plus couldn’t run maths on the job I’d being doing for 30+ years. Went keto early covid then full carnivore late 2021 and have never felt better in my life its truly amazing. The amount of people who sill complement my chance in appearance these days never ceases to amaze me. Beef salt & water is you need. Truly.

I have been taking Rosuvastatin for about 6 months now, I feel ok and my bad cholesterol reading has dropped but I have lost a lot of head hair, which at 61 is a shock. I’m hoping that will change but am not convinced. I am considering not taking it, quitting my part time job, enjoying my retirement and years left and focussing much more strictly on diet and exercise. I think I have answered my own question! Thanks for the information, very helpful.❤

In 2012 I had a heart attack and had a stent put in my right coronary artery. I have had no problem with my heart since then. However, as a part of my treatment they gave me a Statin. Because of that I have permanent chronic pain in my calves and am on morphine twice a day. I have been able to get off all the other meds the gave me including a sleeping aide, Clonazepam, that I was on for 20 years. I stopped taking Lipitor in 2013 but the side effects did not go away and have not till today. I am pleased to say at this point I am on no other meds for any other chronic diseases. The side effects of the statin apart from chronic pain are: Overwhelming fatigue and debilitating muscles resulting in sarcopenia, and a worsening memory. The debilitating effects from the statin along and with my age continue to ravage my muscles, and it is slowly getting worse

I'm convinced my late mother's dementia was caused by statins. Tried for years to get her to stop taking them but it was too late. Her cholesterol was totally normal! I refuse to take statins after side effects with 3 of them even at very low doses and taking them for a very short duration (severe muscle weakness) and have taken CoQ10, K2 and high doses of Vitamin D for years will little improvement. KETO is the only thing that worked for me.

Every time I go to my Doctor at the VA they try to get me on a statin even though my cholesterol levels are fine. A few years back I gave in - felt like crap the whole time I used it! Now I use 500mg of time released Niacin as my insurance policy - lots of research showing it to be very effective at preventing heart attack and strokes with the only side effect being the annoying "flushing" sensation occasionally. Good health to all.

The side effects of niacin are just as bad as statins look it up

I have been pressured into taking 20mg per day due to a previous stroke. It does seem to reduce my LDL levels (have been 208 LDL in the past). But great info on the Vitamin D, my blood tested low even though I am outside every day on the ranch. Now I know why. Thanks
