I am not aware of anyone else who has done a video on this subject. I appreciate you doing so. I realize that you make a small stipend from promoting these products. That having been said, I thought it was extremely important, and helpful to know exactly what you use. You're appear very comfortable actually doing the work on your piece AND speaking on your videos. You may have forgotten, just starting out is so very intimidating. You make it look so easy and natural. Thank you, Katie Anderson

Me again!! It would be amazing if you could do “Tips or things learned of furniture flipping”. I’ve learned a couple-can take wheels off of dollys and use on furniture (58 yrs old with back surgery and 2 neck surgeries so can’t move furniture like I use to). Another tip is to use sawdust with glue, and for stripped knob holes-can use toothpicks and glue…even chop sticks. The plastic putty-to make last longer-I add just tiny bit of water in one dry spot-not the whole container-mix until same consistency and wha-La!!! Just some nice tips of the trade!!

I've found the corded variety of power tools alot easier to use even though an extension cord is almost always necessary. For me the added weight of the battery especially for the amount of time it takes to sand can be pretty fatiguing.

Loved all the info that you gave!!! Great tips too-like not spraying with zin cuz highly flammable!!! Great price for the respirator too-been using N-95 masks. I’ve been looking at the Wagoner sprayer & tent-was going to be my Christmas gift to self this past one ,but family won my heart!! ❤️ I’m going to rewatch and write the list down this time!! I got 2 wood dollys on marketplace for $20!! Thank you so much!!!!💓💫💓

I just started furniture flipping a couple months ago. I hand brush-painted my first dresser and realized that I did not have the patience for this particular painting method. So after I sold my first furniture piece, I did a ton of research on hand spray guns and got the Wagner Flexio 4000. LOVEEEE this! I’m able to flip furniture A LOT quicker. And funny enough, about the Zinsser bin primer - I actually spray this on with my Wagner spray gun. I will say, I did purchase a separate spray and container for just this primer and it sprays on wonderfully! My husband installed a really nice ventilation system for me, so this has helped a ton. And of course, everyone should wear a respirator while painting at all times. I use both primers that’s been mentioned and they are fabulous, but as she has mentioned as well with the Zinsser bin - IT IS COSTLY!

Thanks so much for all those great tips. I started to makeover old furniture a few years ago and what you mentioned as tools, I have most of them so far. I have used all my tools for most of the projects that I did,. Missing a few items, such as the glue applicators, which is such a great idea and I do need a good respirator mask in which I will purchase very soon ! Thank you once again for all your amazing videos and tips ! You are great at your work and I really appreciate all the info that you give us. Sending you love and peace in your heart ♥♥

I am ordering the hardware jig! I Hate figuring out how to keep holes/hardware straight and uniform🤪 BTW, in case you don’t know, but the Dap, Pink filler?? When it dries out all you need is a spray or two of water, mix it up and it’s like NEW!! 👍🏼

Totally. Just need to make sure it’s not too windy and use that net as you paint dries so pollen, dust and bugs don’t get stuck to it.

What is your favorite paint stripper but don't want to take the finish off the furniture piece itself? I have a table that has the leaf folded down below and it is original finish. The rest of the table is painted white.

Thanks for your video! I have a question about the Zinser 123 primer. I think you mentioned that it is good if you have a glossy piece of furniture to help with adhesion. Does that mean you would NOT need to SAND that if you use the Zinser? Please tell me it's true! LOL
@ChristinaMuscari Жыл бұрын
They claim you don't have to and I have used it this way several times with success.
@michaelrobinson9643 Жыл бұрын
A SUPER important tip is to have HIGH QUALITY sandpaper. This can be more important than the model of sander itself. Higher cost sandpapers will (usually) last longer. A setup that connects to a vacuum helps too to remove dust as you go which again helps the sandpaper last longer because it doesn't clog. 80 Grit for removing wood stock and fast results. 120 good for general wood finishing 220 good for before sanding or between coats.
