The Oshkosh MMRS also has ALL 5 axles with Locking Differential’s , 3 steering axles (2 front and the furthest rear) CTIS central tire inflation on all 10 wheels and full independent suspension on all 5 axles, all for insane off-road ability . Amazing piece of invincible off-road engineering! Dave Sparks of the diese brothers KZbin channel has a recently retired one as wel as the first civilian owned US Army UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter that he flies himself out of his Utah home. He also has a retire US Navy SWCC rigid inflatable boat used to transport Navy SEALs with 2 diesel jet drives he uses for water recoveries. Really entertaining channe that does emergency insane off-road vehicle recoveries and rescues as well as snow, water and airborne search and rescue and recovery. Very entertaining.

I was well practiced on everything from the weapons which I was in charge of cleaning to heating the tracks of these and m113, plus alot of m60s when they froze to the ground. Also earned a case of beer and KFC while in the desert lol. Loved it though. Was never told in Aberdeen that I would have my own!

The US Hercules is a bad ass machine. One of my sons jobs while in the Army was recovery and heavy wheeled vehicle mechanic. He really liked the Hercules. Cheers

The M88A2 Hercules is Designed to tow 140 tons not 70. It has and will pull 2 Abrams tanks at one time.

It is also being shown as the M88A1 and M88E2 or A2 depending on your years of service. Look closely the round boom verses the square boom and the pay out winch and no pay out winch..

The M88 is solid gold. All these fancy boom and crane systems on everybody else's machines, and the M88 is just, PUT BIGGER WINCH. WINCH WORKS WITH A-FRAME TO BECOME CRANE. WINCH IS KING. But, Mr. Engineer, don't we need vertic- BIGGER WINCH.

The m88 is a Bergepanzer too the Germans used the M88A1 same as the US they also use the 1G bergepanzer same chassis love the bergepanzer and bergepanther, Oshkosh seem to be getting a name for themselves in unreliability according to US marines on force's tv channel

the Bundeswehr does not use the M88, as they phased it out with the introduction of Leopard 1 and the Bergepanzer 2 based on Leopard 1, today they use the Bergepanzer 3 Büffel, based on Leopard 2
