Why no Able Carry Daily Plus in this lineup? You get best in class looks, minimized dangly straps, chunkier shoulder straps than any of these other bags for comfortable tech carry, easy access internal water bottle holder and aquazips. Hard to make a case for many of these other bags unless you really need a full clamshell opening (bellroy), a briefcase mode (black ember) or a shallow profile for packed commuter trains (aer, black ember). If you find value in blending in then North Face has great options too - huge retail / distribution footprint in EU & Japan.

@@kylemartinfontanilla3359 if you want the best water protection I'd say the Aer Travel Pack 3 in Ultra or the Able Carry Max since its made out of XPAC. These two fabrics repel water tremendously well (but remember, these aren't waterproof bags, rain can still get through the seams)

Fyro could definitely fit here but then it also is part of a group of hybrid packs slotted in between edc and travel - I feel there is still room in this category as many of the packs show various liter sizes to accommodate edc and travel - Fyro’s default is closer to edc while expanding to a travel or commute pack - while an Evergoods 24L may be to large for some as an edc but large enough for travel or commute style packs. Of course the size of the individual and personal comfort come into play, but this hybrid space of edc and travel is still a fresh space for brands to explore. Don’t know what the analytics on sales are for such a product but then again sometimes a brand will make a product we didn’t know we needed.

I REALLY wanted to love the City Pack Pro... such great quality and I love the features and materials... (even liked the Travel Pack 3 Small a bit better) but both of these bags just didn't physically fit me well. The TP3 was an odd height and just kept getting stuck on my belt and wouldn't hang properly, no matter what I try... and the CPP just looked so boxy and saggy on me. Wanted to love them! A bit happier with the Bellroy Transit Workpack (v1) although I wish it was a little tiny bit bigger and had better straps. Maybe worth trying the v2 of these or the Transit Workpack Pro? Also curious about the Alpaka Elements Backpack Pro (don't love the layout of the Metro Backpack Pro!)... but trying to just live with the Bellroy for a while cause I just tried like 5 bags in a row so I need to chill for a sec.
@warzlbaerschtn2 ай бұрын
I also wanted to trade in my transit workpack v1 with the Aer CPP. I had exactly the same problem and sold the Aer and kept my Bellroy. In terms of quality, size and layout the aer is such a perfect bag, just the boxy look didn’t fit my body…

@geraldmcmullon24652 ай бұрын
Our individual needs are different. Get any of Aaron's best list and you will not be disappointed. Make a list of features you need and tick off the different bags. If you weight each feature you can get a score that matches your needs. I want a bag that remains smart if i use it to carry stuff into a meeting. Dangle straps everywhere is untidy and gives a bad impression. If it disappears and no one notices it the better. Still has to have the capacity and somethings I need to carry manuals and books so it has to take the punishment of hauling them around. For travel I want camera gear, laptop/tablet and room for lunch. Your choices are going to be different.

I’ve seen ads all over social media for the Airback backpack. Is this just a gimmick or do you think it’s a viable option for a travel pack?
@SnapScaper2 ай бұрын
It's an absolute gimmick. I am a frequent traveler and I bought the Airback backpack then returned it after two trips. IN SUMMARY: The vacuum feature is too ridiculously overcomplicated and the bag is uncomfortable to wear. Here are the reasons below: 1. Vacuum feature: This is its signature selling point. But the bag weighs 7.7 pounds (and 8 pounds with the vacuum machine), which is abnormally heavy. Also, the vacuum is pretty much useless. I've went on trips to Europe and Asia and they checked the weight of my bag both times and I had to remove items. Also, it is frustrating to use because once I packed the bag out, resealing and vacuuming the bag takes a long time and packing cubes (which can also compress!) are much more effective. Eventually the vacuum zip broke. 2. Comfort: Many hiking and traveling backpacks have small straps at the top to relieve pressure off of the lower back. This bag doesn't have it. I packed it out and it ended up being 15 pounds. It pushes into my lower back and after hiking for 30 minutes, my back couldn't take it anymore. Here are some backpacks as alternatives: 1. Aer travel pack 3 (Personal favorite): A beast of a backpack. Lightweight, waterproof, sleek, extremely versatile, and IMO the most comfortable bag of all time. 2. Peak design 45L: Customizable and feature rich. Organization features could be configured universally. Better for camera gear.

Hey Aaron!! As always superb work on your reviews!! Right now I'm actually looking for a replacement for my EDC backpack and I've narrowed my options to the Bellroy Venture Pack 26L and the Aer Pro Pack 24L but can't make up my mind yet. I haven't found so many videos about the Aer Pro Pack, beside the regular launch videos, and I'm really curious 'bout if that's 'cause Aer has not promoted it that much or if the bag itself is not as good as the, more popular, City Pack Pro. Since you recommend the latter on your video, I'd love if you could share some light on the matter, or your personal opinion about which one would you choose. Really appreciate your help and work! PS. BTW, being from Mexico I always love the reference you use to our country but I have to tell you bro...
