Love St. Augustine! We drive down all the time from Ponte Vedra for dinner or to walk around on a Saturday. My son is always begging to go to the Alligator Farm and the mini gold spot nextdoor. When we don't go to St. Augustine, we do other things like touring a horse farm in Ocala, hiking the many trails in the area (the Hammock Trail near Guana Beach is my favorite), touring the USS Orleck on the St. Johns, or checking out other local history sites. I heard there is one or more bars in downtown Jax that still have speakeasies you can see but I haven't gone to one yet.
