Try and introduce a new fan to an old Randy Savage promo, watch them see a juiced up steroid loaded maniac scream at the top of their lungs for several minutes and tell me you wouldn’t feel a fair bit of cringe from having introduced that to someone. These guys have went with people who feel real, who feel genuine, who feel like they actually believe what they say. For as much as Savage was charismatic and certainly invested in his words, at the same time he was a cartoon character, he never felt real or genuine.

honorable mention and in top 10 for me personally cause no one at wrestle talk likes him or wants to talk about him. The Miz. there are so many good promos he has had throughout his career such as the talking smack promo, the promo where he tore into john Cena and roman reigns for being the chosen ones which made the crowd actually cheer, a lot of his A lister stuff is good, is promo when he was US champion talking about how he was mistreated for eating chicken over a "referee" bag and got bullied by JBL. He also just knows how to get people to hate him (ignoring the go away heat he had in his first WWE championship run). so if they aren't going to give Miz his flowers for his talking ability cause his in ring style isn't great or his first WWE championship run wasn't all that good. or he had one of the worst WM main events where he was the third wheel in the rock and john cena. i will give him his flowers here. miz is an amazing talker

Wait, I'm tripping right? You're telling me I didn't see one person put down Macho Man Randy Savage? And did Pete just change his list as he went lol? He literally said Miz was on his list (which could've been satire, which I kinda took it as but you never know with him lol). But I just can't freaking believe not one of them put down Macho Man, like how in tf is there no Macho Man. Dude was the best talker in the company for years (imo of course, but im sure in a lot of others we well). Like, when we got to number 3 and I didn't see him I was like "Okay, so someone has him at 1/2, I can see that, that isn't a bad take at all, then to see he wasnt even on the list, that's ridiculous 😂😂!

Considering Pete later said that even in a top 20 list Miz wouldn't be on it, he was obviously joking.

@@derangel9143 I must've missed that part lol. I was hoping it was a joke, but these days you never know honestly lol.

29:00 My parents lived out in Portland and used to go to the shows all the time. They did this a lot when Piper was wrestling and whenever I ask them about the times they went to Portland they would tell me every time about Roddy Piper and just how good he was live.

Do you know what happens to people that excludes one of the greatest talkers? WrestleTalk... YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!

I guess tempest doesn’t like me cuz I don’t like Eddie Kingston (more because of his wrestling). I do agree he’s a great talker though

Genuinely surprised no one mentioned Vince. Every wrestler needs a dance partner and Austin vs McMahon is possibly the most iconic of all time and one of them isn’t even a proper wrestler. He helped create a powerhouse of an organisation through people hating him, say what you like about the fact in real life he’s a terrible human being, the fact of the matter is when Vince when in his prime he was a commanding and charismatic presence that very few have rivalled.

John Cena not making the list is a crime

For Heyman the 2 best examples are going into Chicago and literally silencing the CM punk chants after he left the company and the promo he cut with Cody the Raw after Elimination Chamber when people were still clamoring for Sami to face Roman at mania, in one promo Cody and Heyman made you want Cody to be the one to dethrone Roman

Eddie Kingston could cut a promo saying the world is flat and I might believe him. He’s so convincing and 100% believes every damn word he says.

Man, I’m legit shocked Cena wasn’t on ANY of the 3 lists

Whether people like it or not, the true answer is Vince.
