Go stay in the 'Old Quarter' - in the Hotel of the same name - it's a perfect place to stay in Amsterdam. Easy access to all amenities / transport/ & excellent for night life. I always stay there - there is no better. Try to get a room over-looking the canal.

I`ve been to Amsterdam many times, and seen almost all the attractions you recommend. However.........before you visit any of them, go to a coffeshop, have a cup of coffee, and a " Joint ", and then proceed to explore Amsterdam. Since cannabis is a " Mind-Expanding " drug, you`ll notice details you normally wouldn`t.........and you`ll have more fun doing it too. I mention this, since you didn`t include " Coffeeshops " on your list, which Amsterdam is famous for, and which also reflects " The Tolerance " of Holland. Please disrecard what I wrote about " A Joint ", if you´re bringing your wife and kids to Amsterdam.........🤔

@onkelmarvin8360 i am a kid, everyone above the age of 11 knows what it is. Hell, I know people who have smoked it since year 10 (around 14 15). Myself I want to finish school and then absolutely demolish my lungs though, was kind of a jokey comment

@@OGrandomunknownperson Knock yourself out Mate, but you shouldn`t start smoking Cannabis, till you`re an adult. I am from Amsterdam . My advice , rent a bike and go to Amsterdam noord. Very small villages at small dikes with lovely nature. The zoo is awful, small and I am ashamed that they kept the animals in such small cages. Instead of zaanse schans go ( on the bike ) to Molenwijk ( Amsterdam noord) and it is lovely. Few km away is Spaarndam very pittoresk and less touristy. Take the bus to IJmuiden for the beach and take a stroll at the beach. Beautiful sandy beaches. In summertime take the bus ( Friday , Saturday ) to Bloemendaal aan zee, walk to Woodstock for a typical Dutch festival minded place and dance while you see the sun sets. Or listen at this very boring story about a city who deserves more than this talk. Museum..? Teylers museum Haarlem .

Zoos have changed. I don’t agree with most of them, but in developed countries, the laws have changed to be more humane and I think it’s a great way to educate people - a lot of them show the animals and have talks and info on how to support them in the Wild. Seeing them in person gives people a connection with them that they wouldn’t get otherwise and therefore support conservation plans in the wild and they commonly sell items or ask for donations that support initiatives in the wild.

Why , Amsterdam has been a cultural beacon for centuries , why shouldn’t people travel and visit one of the most beautiful cities in the world ? Same could be said for Milan , London , Rome , Madrid , Paris , Copenhagen , Bucharest
@gustave74947 ай бұрын
@@jackmcdonnell7566 Because tourism drives out the original residents of the city center, who can't afford to pay their rent anymore; because tourism drives out the orginal shops and businesses and replaces them with hotels, coffeeshops and souvenirshops and fastfoodsplaces that cater only to the tourists; because a lot of tourists think they can do everything here in Amsterdam that they can't do at home: vomit on the streets, use drugs, stare at the women in the red light district, scream and sing in the middle of the night and throw their litter on the street; because tourism with all the unnecessary travelling by plane, bus, car pollutes the air that we breathe and destroys the planet. That's why.

Make an effort next time to pronounce the names of the venues correctly. You may as well don't say it at all. Zaanse Schans Zaanse has 2 A's so you pronounce it as the A in father. Schans sch too difficult for you say "Skans" instead with a short A and don't pronounce it like an E in English. Sorry but you guys stopped us from speaking Dutch in the States they thought it was Russian I know drunks are stupid ;)
