I feel like the Savage is a good option aswell. Unlike the Lazer and Hydra, the Savage's autocannon didn't get nerfed, making it as powerful as it always was. It can also take 2 homing missiles before blowing up. It's slow and it's not agile so not the best against aircraft, but against ground targets it's really good

I think the rogue is a bit underrated, one of the best planes for dogfighting, super maneuverable, top speed is insanely high, has decent cannons, has bombs and super cheap. Very overlooked in my opinion

12:00 FH1 Hunter also has a bombing bay. It is really useful for that one Hanger Supply (Air) mission that gives you the FH1 Hunter where you have to destroy signal jammers.

Best vehicle for that mission I find is the Savage. This mission and the Titan mission where the main two reasons I own a Savage. It's explosive minigun is just super useful on both them. Much easier then using bombs or missiles on the Hunter to take out those jammers.

For grinding, alongside Buzzard and Sparrow for the light attack roles, the Savage is one of best options for helicopters to use in business missions, vip work and even some contact missions if you want a heavier armed platform since the pilot can control all weapons and it's high rate of missile fire and cannons have their uses in different mission situations.

That's because it's slow speed and straight wing design. The old prop planes are the same way... Irl, the A-10 was designed for ground targets, not dogfighting. So it needs slow speed and high maneuverability instead to linger around an area for long periods whereas conventional jets (including 5th gen fighters F22 and F35) would overshoot the target area and run out of fuel alot quicker.

Interesting thing about the Akula as well as Annihilator stealth, while liveries and paint jobs on vehicles are just cosmetic, there is some practicality in pairing the right colours and liveries because they can aid your stealth by blending you with some environments while flying low and can reduce your chance of being visually detected by enemy aerial threats.

some stuff you didn't mention: 1.: Sparrow / Buzzard -> The 2 you can simply spawn right next to you. 2.: Deluxo: The one you can keep in any garage 3.: The one and only most important feature of the Raiju: It has not even just 1, but 2 Princess Robot Bubblegum liveries! (One is shiny wasabi kitty, one is PRB herself). The Raiju is the 2nd plane in the game after the Volatol to have this feature. 4.: Technically the Seabreeze has a bomb bay if I recall correctly, and it's a plane you can land in water, while also reasonably fast. 5.: How the hell are the Akula and the FH1 Hunter ahead of the newly upgraded Avenger? The B-11 however is a nice touch, I had a model of an A-10 that I really liked when I was a kid, so I appreciate seeing it on any list.

The Akula has stealth mode and the avenger’s back hold cannot be used during missions. As for the Hunter it is fast and agile while the Avenger can take a while to turn into plane and helicopter modes. The other problem is size the Avenger struggles to find big enough landing zones when in the city so you have to park away from the mission and then go to it wasting time. The same goes for spawning the avenger as it can’t spawn on Helipads or smaller areas that helicopters can.

@@blackhawkuh-6026 The Avenger is literally the only aircraft in the game that provides content. In the form of 6 lame and badly paying, and some not well enough paying missions. On a sidenote, why look for a spot to land it? It has a thruster now. As for the Akula / Hunter, it might just be me, but I really don't like the Akula's handling. Maybe I just went with a too sensitive option when upgrading mine, who knows, I'm not using it anyway, why check. While the Hunter is only at full power proper aim on the explosive MG, while those are a pain to aim properly. Still, I'd say all of them are better than some lame a$$ planes. Like the Raiju for example. Plane controls in the game are still terrible. At least the Volatol and a Raiju look nice with the correct liveries, while not being used in the hangar.

personal list would be riaju b11 starling savage 10.akula because the stealth is helpful and its super quick, just doesn't have very affective weapons. 9.avenger, a lot of people would put it higher and disagree but the avenger is only really affective with a full crew of people and the chance of having that every time you use it is not likely, without them the armour doesn't mean anything because explosive cannons and missiles will destroy the controls easily. 8.hunter, personally I love the hunter and like all the helis in the game, it had a buff due to the cannons being nerfed. but the problem is, is that the hunter is very large so can be an easy target but it is still underrated as its weapons and speed r insane. 7.lazer, still a very good dogfighter but with the cannon nerf it makes dog fighting the only thing it can do now compared to before where u could demolish ground targets. 6. sparrow, this one sounds ridiculous but the missile fire rate matched with the speed and agility for dodging missiles is unmatched. the fact that you can spawn it next to you is the biggest thing for me. 5. pyro, if you get good with the pyro its pretty much unmatched honestly the only reason I didn't put it higher is because its lack of weapons as they are very standard, other than that and one thing ill say later its just insane, personally my 2 favourite dog fighters are the pryo and starling so I know them in and out. the speed of it is amazing, its great at landing and has two seats unlike most jets. 4. savage, the savage is now the only vehicle in the game with the op cannon it can only take two missiles but is very good at dodging them. at this point id say its one of the best at taking ground targets. its cannon is so good it can fight jets now since the hydra and lazer don't have the old cannons, id say the only problem with it is the agility and speed compared to a lot of other helis. 3.starling this one is unbelievably close to second place but there are some things that this thing cant do that second can. the starling is my favourite plane and almost the strongest, if it wants to it can outrun anything in the game just not in the long run, it has missiles to stop anyone close from running away, when your a highly skilled pilot you can force the turn radius to be much smaller than any other plane in the game, its amazing at bombing because of its slow speed without the boost. basically everything about this plane. its also a really small target so hard to hit. 2. b11, the b11 in my opinion is the best looking but most boring jet. it has the most weapon on a jet but is very slow, its a tank so landing, crashing and taking hits from other jets are no problem and it has the speed boost at a certain height. its turn radius makes it almost unmatched in dog fighting, the only exception are really really good lazers and really good starling and pyro players. The reason why its higher then them though is somewhat because of the things i already listed but mainly because it can somewhat counter the number one spot and ill explain that now. 1. Raiju, just insane this jet is amazing. the stealth allows you to ambush players, it looks and feels amazing as its now the new fastest jet in the game. it has a better hover mode than the hydra by far making ground targets easier and also making it able to use this in dog fighting to make up for it's not too good turn radius. if you feel you are about to lose a dog fight you can out speed them and fly away in stealth mode. you can abuse the hover mode in battle with some good timing if the jet your fighting is turning better than you and its biggest property is the fact that its almost fully immune to machine guns, this basically means you counter half the jet roster making it impossible for them to win. I do wish they nerf this jet and get rid of the invincible to machine guns feature, and that's why the b11 is just under it because it can take this thing out but it's still not easily as usually the raiju will just fly away in danger. really just a broken jet tbh but it is very cool I will admit. a lot of ranting but at least its a detailed opinion that might give some less experienced players a good idea of what counters what and how to use them. and mad respect if you had the patients to read all of it. respect in general goes to my fellow pyro and starling mains and lovers.

Hydra's trade price comes after doing the Humane Labs heist.* As of planes/aircrafts missing, I'd add the Savage for its cannon, the Seabreeze for its amphibious capabilities and the Nokota as an equal alternative to the Molotok/Pyro. People might talk about the Rougue, but its control schemes on max upgrades are weird.

My top 5: 1: avenger (I got 23 kills on a level 8000 who tried griefing me by soloing it with stealth-module and gun turrets 🤣) 2: laser (purely because I could absolutely annihilate anyone with this back in the day) 3: the savage. The only downside is how sluggish it is to manoeuvre. The cannon is the best in the game at the moment. 4: the raiju. I bought it for the stealth capabilities. Nothing that uniquely useful about it I’m my opinion. 5: the hunter. I’m putting this here because I can only really use it effectively when I have a copilot using the gun turret. It’s the most effective way to kill ground enemies, particularly if you’re a good pilot. I think some good mentions are the B-11, starling, pyro, molotok, and of course the hydra. I got really good at flying purely because I used the hydra as a transition from helicopters (which are quite easy to use) to jets (which take more skill). It’s super versatile, and is far cheaper than the raiju.

4:05 It's the Prison Break Mission you steal the Hydra, that gets you the Discount. Set Up Mission I believe 3-4. It's after the mandatory first 2 in order, to unlock missions 3-4, and then eventually 5, and then finale.

I have the raiju, but personally I think it is rivaled by the pyro and sparrow. I've fought with great pilots in both, and the pyro is UNSHAKEABLE. My god is that thing sticky. Unless you get the drop in stealth mode from the beginning of the fight, you hardly stand a chance. The sparrow, on the other hand, isn't nearly as fast. It is so manueverable that in good hands they are very hard to lock on to.

I think the b11 is the best because I only use a jet to fight Griefers if I’m doing missions I use the mk2 and for me the b11 is the hardest jet to go against and I like that it goes slow because in dog fights that is needed for sharper turning and unlike the ruiju once you kill the Griefers you can drop bombs or use the barrage missiles to spawn kill them. But if I’m only killing ground targets then it’s the fh1-hunter all day you just need someone else with you.

It'd be pretty cool to try to shoot out a missile, outrun it and get in front of the missile you shot and then eject right before the missile catches up and blow your own jet up... Anyone wants to try doing this challenge? You only succeed in you are able to get your jet blown up by your own jet's missile and also be able to eject and parachute down to safety.. Maybe HarmNone can make a video out of trying it until you pull it off successfully... lol

I think #1 has to be the MKII. I agree it's not my favourite vehicle but I still use it all the time. It spawns in right beside you, quick and nimble, fits anywhere, hard to destroy, fairly hard to fall off of. Just great for getting around, doing free roam work and missions. I'd put Buzzard at 2 mainly for the CEO Buzzard. Fits in must places, can actually take a fair bit of bullet damage before going down unlike the Sparrow that feels like it starts smoking after a couple shots. Pretty strong miniguns despite being explosive, infinite capacity missiles. Sadly no countermeasures, but still great for mission work as like the MKII it spawns in right beside you. Not that it matters to me, but it carries 4 players as well. Kosatka Sparrow gets my #3 spot as it's basically a bigger faster CEO Buzzard. This is actually my second most used vehicle. However it seems like not all the CEO Buzzard spawn points work for the Sparrow. Like when you call in a Sparrow down at the airport, it can spawn either on the road or back beside the building. I've had it happen multiple times where the Sparrow spawns beside the building and just instantly breaks it tail off before you can even turn to look at it. So then you has to send it back, probably wait a cool down, call it again and hope it spawns on the road. There are also various spawns where the Sparrow pops in with it's blades halfway into the wall, though those spawns are no big deal as you can easily clear the wall before breaking the blades. But yeah that's the Sparrows bigest flaw is it seems to use the Buzzard spawn points, which unfortunately it doesn't always quite fit into. The rest of my top 10 would probably just be various helicopters to be honest. lol Was using the Raiju today, good jet but like the Hydra the VTOL still feels rather slow and cumbersome to me compared to a helicopter. The straight line speed from getting from the Hangar to say a barge is great, but I do still prefer just how much more manoeuvrable a helicopter is when fighting NPC's compared the VTOL of jets. Helicopters you can sway side to side with ease, super easy to circle around enemies. Super easy to tilt the nose forward if you ever wanted to fire missiles piratically straight down. VTOL's are just a lot slower, stiffer and cumbersome. So while I like the speed the Raiju and Hydra has in jet mode, I prefer helicopters for combat (at least NPC combat anyway)

another thing abt the mk2 is that it conpletely outclasses every other aircraft in the game as far as combat goes. Its maneuverability makes it damn near impossible to hit with a jet and allows it to get into an attacking position extremely quickly and easily. Really the only counter for a jet against a mk2 is to fly straight up as the mk2 cant go straight into the sky

8:10 It is not very accurate against NPCs. I was surprised when I found out when it could not hit a target about 20 meters away from me 15 degrees to the left, consecutively. It does turn a little bit, but * just * misses. It turns about %90 of the way of the definitely-very-hard-to-turn 15 Degrees, but then misses the stationary target. It's like as if Rockstar was doing this intentionally. When you are playing solo in a PvE environment, it will not be very accurate. So it can piss you off into getting better helicopters and the homing missiles for them, making you buy Shark Cards. When you are against players though, it WILL hit. To piss both the attacker side and the defender side into buying more arms and ammunition, therefore making them buy Shark Cards. Now I know this is a full-on Tinfoil-Hat Conspiracy Theory here, and I was joking when I wrote this, but this could very well be a thing.

I hate how instead of giving a buff to planes like the Rogue and B11 by giving explosive machine guns that were good enough to compete Lazer and Hydra, they instead nerf Lazer and Hydra to make the cannons suck like the B11

The cannons were OP let's not beat around the bush about it. You could just instantly evaporate enemies on foot and in the air with horrible aim. The cannons are still good just not op.

@j.c._gaming4671 Nerfed way too hard in the end. You have to be perfectly dead on accurate to hit anything now, and if you do hit something, it isn't even a 1 shot kill anymore. Not nearly as useful as before.

I have used both raiju and b-11 and I must say i like both but I use mostly planes for dogfighting and b-11 is the best for that in my opinion. Can be that I am more used to b-11 so it can be that. But for air to ground i would use hydra mostly.

Main issue with the new plane is that it doesn’t have counter measures, the A-10 literally has everything but VTOL and stealth.

The Raiju doesn't really need counter measures, except for maybe Chernobog missiles, the Raiju can fly fast enough to get out of range from missiles.

@realgriffin7569 even if you get hit once on either platform you should retreat and return to base if possible. Plus with the A-10 you should use it in different combat situations to the Raiju, use the B-11 for ground attack missions and the Raiju for air to air combat and strike missions using the stealth to infiltrate the airspace

The usefulness of the Hydra and the Pyro and the Sea Breeze are usually underrated. The Hydra is a Pegasus so you can have your personal out and when you get shot you can call in the Pegasus while you're still in the air and land to it so you can get right back up in the air, the Hydra also spawns at helipads so it's spawn locations are way more convenient than any other airplane except for the new F160. The Sea Breeze and the Pyro as well as the Rogue are all two seaters and they're very small so you can land on the street but they are great for getting around a teammate who is low level or slow moving and the Sea Breeze can even pick people up who have got trapped out in the water if they don't have a dinghy and it is great for KO missions and other Water Missions. The Rogue is excellent because as far as I know it is the only two-seater playing in the game with explosive machine guns and the handling in these three planes that I just named is absolutely awesome. Bottom line is no matter what your opinion is on the MK2 I take out Jets all day long in my MK1 and mk2s don't really stand a chance against the MK1 anymore. In my opinion the number one and number two flying vehicles in the game are the MK1 and the F160. Although the convenience of the Buzzard and the Sparrow because of how close they drop to you is supremely hard to beat unless you're keeping an MK1 or a Hydra or F160 in your Moc.

The Hydra is still a good option for a mission jet, for example if you do air freight it is one of the better options alongside the Savage even after the nerf to the jet's cannons for the mission where you escort the Titan because of how it's VTOL works and lay out of the cannons, this also makes it a good option for headhunters. The VTOL alone makes it a good option for Duggan shipments for Casino heist, Buzzard disruption prep for Cayo Perico and the business battle where you have to take out targets across the map, it also used to be good for the aircraft carrier battle.

@@crimsoncarnotaurus i agree, and with its faster vtol movement and its guns closer together its much better at chasing cars on the highway in vtol because the f160 vtol mode is just to slow for it. I like how the f160 stops on a dime and makes smaller movements in vtol, the amount of control in tight quarters works out real nice. They actually complement each other real well. I think gta did a great job on balance with the new nerf and the f160. Been flying everything a lot more, especially the hydra and savage. The guns on all the jets are def more like they should be in my opinion.

@4thbranch834 the Raiju takes more away from the Lazer than it does the Hydra in terms of practicality, with the Lazer being that practical even before outside of PvP air to air combat, combining Raiju, Hydra and B-11 you can make a decent doctrine with jets, Raiju for air to air combat focused missions, Hydra for strike missions and B-11 for ground attack.

raiju s easier, but in the hands of a competent pilot who knows how to use the starling, it beats everything (probably not the raiju, as mgs do nothing to the raiju)

I hate seeing my favorite heli in the game, the annihilator stealth, getting little to no attention, sure its not as good as the akula or the hunter, but we can all agree its one of the most badass helicopters in the game, with the repel mechanic, it stands out as jusy a badass helicopter

Raiju is pretty much the only plane you need, all though you may want to buy the b-11 or rogue after the raiju for bombing capabilities

The B-11 is a good option for ground attack roles, but in most cases helicopters tend to be more practical, the only time I've found it more useful than other platforms is the air freight source mission where you have to destroy bases because all of it's weapon options are useful to clear it out, better than the Starling provided

The mark 2 is hard to hit but it's missiles if you just fly a circle with almost any airplane or jet they will never hit you iFly circles Interjet with 5 Mark twos all shooting missiles at me they don't even get close
