My cousin had an idea for an angle based around Rey not being Dominik's biological father. Dominik captures a mid-card title at a PPV, and then on the next Smackdown they have a segment where Rey and Dominik are celebrating, Rey telling his son how proud he is, at which point a heel comes out, points out "he's not even your real dad" and the feud practically writes itself from there.

In all fairness, they did try to explain Kane's lack of scarring with an interview segment. JR basically pointed out that Kane really didn't have any burn scars and Kane said that the doctors when he was a kid told him that his burns were only superficial. Kane then went on to say that the people who said that were lying and trying to humiliate him by laughing behind his back about his "disfigured" face. After that, Kane threw JR on the ground and set JR on fire.
