I loved the Brady Bunch.... still watch the reruns when I catch them. It brings back memories of a time in my life where times were simple. My large family often dealt with the same issues the Brady's had to live through.

As for the guest stars, I suppose it was because they made those episodes memorable and Mr. & Mrs Howell was probably because Gilligan's Island was also produced by Sherwood Schwartz.

One episode of Batman actually had Alan Hale Jr. play a diner owner named Gilligan.
