I used to work in Oral-B, and one quick tip for using your power toothbrush: let the brush head clean one tooth at a time. The round brush head is meant to cup each tooth to clean it thoroughly. If you are more used to the "sawing" motion, you should get a longer brush head, or a sonic-technology toothbrush.

Seriously though, I live in my truck and my pee setup is right there close to me when I'm sitting at the desk-thing I built, right -- and it really does make me better about drinking more water because it's more convenient to pee when I need to (I'm not very body-aware so it's easy for me to accidentally ignore physical needs for long periods) because of the convenience of being able to do it without having to break away from the task I'm doing, since changing states/tasks is a big job for my ADHD brain. Previously I would struggle with subconsciously hydrating less and less because my body and brain would work together to prioritize convenience and not-having-to-pay-attention instead. Point is, I vote we normalize solutions like this even for people who are housed, because neurodivergent people like me can benefit from it and there's nothing wrong with changing systems to enable better tendencies in ourselves. Rah rah, destigmatize pee containers! 😝

Agreed... not a fan of using a phone for an alarm clock. In fact, my cell phone is put in a desk drawer, and left there for 22 hours a day. A regular, old fashioned alarm clock is easier to shut off if you are still sleepy, easier to set, no bright lights from the clock to disrupt sleep patterns (like a cell phone). And, regular clocks with faces are far more stylish, as well.

On a certain level, we have a drug store in our brain, the neurochemicals that show up in flow: so dopamine, norepinephrine, anandamide, endorphins, and serotonin. If you were to try to cocktail the street drug version of that, right, you're trying to blend like heroin and speed and coke and acid and weed- and point is, you can't do it. It turns out the brain can cocktail all of 'em at once, which is why people will prefer flow to almost any experience on Earth. It's our favorite experience. It's the most addictive experience on Earth. Why? 'Cause it cocktails five or six of the largest pleasure drugs the brain can produce. We're all capable of so much more than we know. That is a commonality across the board. And one of the big reasons is we're all hardwired for flow, and flow is a massive amplification of what's possible for ourselves.⁷
