The biggest problem w/ this theory is that if the events from Cloverfield had actually happened in the 10 Cloverfield Lane universe, than the characters would not think that Howard was crazy for having conspiracies about aliens and what not. I mean, if a giant monster had attacked New York less than 10 years earlier, they probably wouldn't think aliens was that far out of question. Also, I believe one of them would reference that recent attack when Howard is explaining the reason they have to stay in the bunker...

What if Seabed nectar is actually the "amniotic fluid" in the eggs? I.E. it's actually intended to keep the monsters subdued and "happy". Too much was removed from the egg of the original Cloverfield monster, and thus it woke up "angry". Maybe the aliens didn't put the monsters on Earth, what if they simply "contained" them? Just a random thought while listening to the video.

Here's my theory: it seems strange to assume that Tagruato would try to harvest and sell blood from the creature itself, so they probably took it from the eggs, assuming they were just an unknown natural phenomenon. The monster isn't just a baby that was disturbed: it was literally hatched early via some accident with Tagruato harvesting it. The creature was in an egg that was forced open, so the others are probably much stronger and more powerful when fully developed.

The "Sea Nectar" or whatever could potentially be yolk from the eggs. Also, the Cloverfield monster could even potentially be a "guardian" of sorts, despite being very young. It could have hatched early, saw the humans drilling into it's brother's and sisters and collecting their yolk, and then was enraged and attacked the station.

So they encounter the alien before the chinese company whom I have forgot the name of gets established. There is one thing that makes it a bit confusing, that is the alien itself. I think we are all to much focused on the aliens and the Cloverfield monsters being relatives but in fact they are probably enemies or something else. The alien in Super 8 is probably one of the spaceships or maybe a different race in the same solar system as the ones from 10 lane. We can put lots of theories to it but that would be fun :)

Me too lol. I don't know why it creeps me out, but I love that it does. I think it might be because of how hostile or dangerous Clover and the aliens are combined with knowing so little about either of them. A danger you can't easily understand or resist. Pretty terrifying. Cloverfield and 10CL's 9/11-esque atmospheres really play on that massive-out-of-nowhere-attack anxiety. They work really well with the ARGs since the ARGs have this ever-present sense of worrying ignorance. You get just enough to answer some questions only to have the more worrying questions they lead to unanswered. You've learned but you don't feel much less ignorant and the dangers are still there. Then the films crystallize that experience through a full narrative within that world. Such a cool franchise.

The pictures are from the crew cataloguing the new space debris as they can't recover it. The ones who say it was an alien satellite around Earth says BOLLOCKS. Jabari Cook the cloverfield wikia says it's an "unknown amphibious species" and its origin is an "deep sea life form" I can't find it but I remember Matt reeves or JJ stating it was at first an organism about the size of a shoe and now MY theory is that if a creature(clover)consumes a food source(seabed nectar)that grants it skin cell growth, stamina, "boosts of energy"and enhanced strength and overall makes it more powerful in an ex amount of time and it's gone but if a creature consumes this natural steroid it changes it completely over a long period (thousands and thousands of years)of time making the creature 200+feet tall and resistant to bombs, another way of putting it is that if someone eats too much McDonald's and nothing else they get chubby then fat then so big to the point where they can't even move anymore

Doesn't mean they couldn't include it again though. I think they are going around for now, and patching up lose ends from the first movie, and maybe so points in between. Because it seems like God Particle is going to be somewhere in between 10 Cloverfield Lane and Cloverfield. So if anything, Bold Futuras company makes more sense like OP said, but it is an international space station, so maybe both companies would be there perhaps? A medical company experimenting with something in space doesn't sound to far off.

I have a slightly altered opinion of what the aliens are in 10 Cloverfield Lane. I believe they are hunting the Cloverfield monster, and making sure it and any others are indeed dead. Something like Godzilla vs Mothra. The "dogs" the aliens have are used to combat the insects that fell off Cloverfield and the ship is killing it's food source. Similar to the scorched earth tactics. I was thinking near enough the same thing, maybe the thing that falls at the end of Cloverfield is the "Black Knight Satellite" Maybe God Particle is a prequel (although not directly related) and the team that are sent up to space to find this satellite and inspect it and it crashes somehow, then it ends up in the Atlantic ocean near Coney island as seen in the video.

Could be that the Cloverfield monster was pushed as some sort of "unknown creature" and not of alien/paranormal nature. Same thing with Giant/Collosal Squids. A few decades ago they were considered like bigfoot or loch Ness

It could be that it didn't hatch prematurely and then sit there, so much as it hatched prematurely as a resalt of them harvesting the "nectar" from its egg. It has been a long while since I've been on a youtube binge this good.

I had a little read of the “Kishin” manga, and it seems to posit the idea that the alien creature can be controlled via a “pod”, almost as if remote controlled. Even if the manga isn’t canon or directly linked to canon, I think it’s an interesting insight into some of the ideas that were going around or might have been unexplored in the films themselves.
