So I did a TON of the web research when Cloverfield came out. There is only one major point that you seen to miss in the video. I went back to my old bookmarks and some don't work anymore. but the Secret ingredient in Slusho depending on the site you went to was called "seabed nectar" or "deep sea nectar". There was a site online that was dedicated to leaking info post NY attack. It references that the people who were bitten by those small creatures. In the movie the military freak out over Marlena being bit, she is then rushed behind a curtain before she "bursts". The post attack site leaks the info that tests on the small creatures shows that they have massive amounts of the Slusho secret ingredient "deep sea nectar" in them and so did the bodies of the people they bit. It imply's that the small creatures are like ticks feeding on the huge creature and the "seabed or deep sea nectar" is from the creature, A message from Teddy on one site says that the Chuai station was built to harvest the "nectar", (from the creature) that they knew it was there. Oh almost forgot, it was also leaked at the time that the end of movie splash-down in the ocean was a Tagruato satellite. But from the when the vid was taken "seabed nectar" was already being harvested, and the party at the begining was because the main character got hired by Slusho.

10 Cloverfield Lane seemed to confirm satellite theories, as Howard was a satellite technician, but the Cloverfield Paradox ending seems to suggest that it was never a satellite. As you say, the splashdown had nothing to do with awakening the large creature, as some had previously theorized.

Well .... as anyone with half a brain knows, America is BY FAR the most 'evil', most destructive, most dangerous country on the face of the planet. This century alone they have started 2 illegal wars which have killed upwards of 1 million innocent people and led directly to the formation of ISIS, their rampant greed almost destroyed the world economy but they've done NOTHING WHATSOEVER to prevent it happening again, they have held prisoners without charge for indefinite periods of time and tortured them, all in direct violation of international law - making the President before last a WAR CRIMINAL - they have flown into a sovereign nation to assassinate someone without revealing the evidence of that person's guilt, they fly drones into other countries to blow up innocent people just because they're in the vicinity of someone they SUSPECT is a terrorist, etc., etc., etc., etc. To counter this they do several things. One is to constantly disparage countries like North Korea, Iran and China - just for 3 examples - even though NONE of those countries have done ANYTHING damaging to the rest of the world; certainly nothing on the scale of the United States. North Korea and Iran are bad because they want to have nuclear weapons you see, even though the United States has more nuclear weapons than every other country combined. They're the good guys though, they think, so it's OK for them to be able to destroy the world but they don't want other countries to have the same technology. Makes sense right?? Secondly they like to make a lot of movies in which they save the world. That's the way they look at themselves. Even though they constantly break international law - far, FAR more than ANY other country - and have caused WAY more damage and destruction to the world in the past few decades than every other country combined, they actually think they're a force for good and their movies and TV constantly reassure them of that 'fact'...

So, Hand of Power was formed in 1945, the same year at the end of World War 2 where the Americans dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. Ganu Yoshida renamed the company in honor of its former owner, telling us that he shared an emotional interest in the previous owner, or at least, the company's goals. The resulting incident of the company's actions causes an attack on an American civilian population, and even forces them to use a tactical nuclear device on their own soil in order to stop the monster. Coincidence? I wonder if this was done on purpose? If the company was tracking the monster, could they also be 'herding' the monster to New York? perhaps by dropping bait into the water . . . .

+TheGeneralify Cloverfield Paradox barely connects to the other Cloverfield films in only one small part of the movie and contradicts the events of the first movie. The movie itself is bad, and they keep shoehorning the word "Cloverfield" in over and over like it's a new vocabulary word. Supposedly the fourth film that's set to come out in October this year is a supernatural horror film set in world war 2. I don't even wanna know how a supernatural horror plot is going to connect to a film about a company awakening an undersea monster that destroys New York. JJ Abrams could've taken this movie franchise somewhere, but it just seems like he's driving it into the ground by trying to fit too many movie genres into it in the hopes that it'll work
@monmonstartv51596 жыл бұрын
+Brahim Dahbi JJ Confirmed that Overlord isn't a Cloverfield movie, also Paradox wasn't even written or directed by JJ anyway so I consider it non-canon

I'm kind of late to the game, but how about this for a theory? Seabed nectar is being harvested from the creature. Without the actual dates of some of these things, I can't say how likely it is, but here it is anyway. Tagruato Corp is surveying the ocean bed for oil drilling sites, when they come across the creature. Keeping it secret they collect biological samples from the creature and/or the parasites. The Yoshida Medical Research company is formed ostensibly "genetic research firm specializing in deep sea bioprospecting." From these biological samples they discover this amazing compound they are calling "Seabed Nectar". This 'nectar' which may have some correlation to the nectar of flowering plants, is being harvested from the glands of the creature that regulate moods. Specifically, those moods governing happiness and anger management. These hormones, when ingested by humans induces a sense of euphoria, but in it's pure form, instills an altered sense of reality. Unable to reproduce the chemical artificially, they have to harvest it directly to the source. To maximize the production, they build a false off-shore oil rig to 'drill for oil', or specifically the hormone or whatever biological substance. After time the hormone is substantially reduced, and thus the inhibitor on the creature's rage is reduced, waking the creature and eventually destroying the rig and later rampaging in New York. Some faults that may be found, is the timeline of the formation of the subsidiaries of Tagruato Corp. Logically Tagruato came first then the subsidiaries, but does Slusho predate YMM? How do the other subsidiaries fir in? Is ParaFUN actually ear wax? Okay, that's a bit silly, since paraffin wax is a petroleum product. Someone better versed in biochemistry could probably make explanations than I could with quick Google research. I'm also wondering about the name "Cloverfield". Having not seen the movies, I can't tell if this is revealed in either movie, but could it be a project name? Project Cloverfield as in a 'field of clover', and various types of clover have various uses including medical and food.
@HotMochaCake8 жыл бұрын
Doctor Phobos they were studying the monster not harvesting it. And Slusho came before the oil rig was there. Seabed Nectar was harvested from all of the oil rigs

Haven't watched the video yet, but I'm gonna say some shit Goodman's character in 10 Lane was apparently one of the researchers of that Japanese organization responsible for knocking the satellite out of the sky.(Or bringing whatever down to Earth) The thesis Goodman's character would ramble about, is 3 or 4 parts to an alien invasion A huge alien monster being sent to cause havoc is step one, an invasion is step 2(Which is what happened at the end of 10 Lane) So after the events of the first movie, Goodman's character realized what was happening, and GOING to happen, so he basically fell off the grid, and started working on his underground bunker(Where then he went a little mad) The two movies ARE connected. I figure the third movie is gonna tie them together closer JJ Abrams has a tendency to fib

I remember seeing the first Cloverfield in theaters and I thought it was amazing. For Christmas my friend bought me the DvD and I watched it two or three times after that. I've come to enjoy and anticipate a sequel. So, when I first heard of 10 Cloverfield Lane I thought, "Finally!". Except I was told that they had no relation too each other. Having heard that my need to watch this movie dwindled until I completely forgot about it. Which brings me to now. This brought to light that 10 Cloverfield Lane does indeed relate to the first. Which then sparked my curiosity to watch this movie more than ever before. I tried searching where I could rent this movie online but couldn't find a reliable cite. I just picked it up form Redbox the following day. After watching 10 Cloverfield Lane my thoughts bring me back to War of the Worlds. There are a lot of similarities that I don't want to list here feeling it might be too much of a spoiler. All I know is that this video helped a lot with coming up with my own theories after then watching the movie. Thanks for bringing all this info to light. I also have some Ideas on who Howard might've actually been. I'm beginning to love this universe and hope they bring more to the table.

based on the 2 US Cloverfield movies it's easy to see the original Cloverfield monster is a BIOWEAPON. it's a bioWMD. It was shot down from attack ships on standby in earth's atmosphere capsizing the ship in the beginning of the movie. The creature was designed to kill and destroy, the large entity was to wipe out large structures and the smaller 'parasites' were meant for 'guerrilla warfare'. The second Cloverfield movie shows the alien attack has already progressed and you see the bio-attackcruisers roaming the land..

Or that it was shot down and landed in the north Atlantic, went dormant, then came Tagruato investigating and waking it up, and then it proceeded to attack? Or something else?

DENILSON THOMAS. I think the connection in the film is just the Aliens. I think a good possibility could be A war between two species. And we're just in the middle of it. Also it could be that the two alien species were both awakened at the same time. There are a lot of other possibilities. My personal favorite is similar to the plot line of Gears of War. Some natural disaster happens and awakens an alien species that have been here longer than humans have. But in this case there were two and they were both fighting over territory for centuries until some kind of disaster happens and puts them in a deep and long sleep. I know I'm probably not explaining this too well but I hope you can sort of understand.

I have a theory about all of this. It has been confirmed that God's Particle will take place in the Cloverfield universe and that it will be about the passengers of a space station. In my opinion, the events of Cloverfield, and 10 Cloverfield lane take place more or less in the same period of time, say, for example, the same week. I asume that the space station that we will see in God's Particle has found about the upcoming alien invasion that we see in 10 Cloverfield lane. That could be true, because the character of John Goodman says that he worked on satelites, and he kinda knew about the invasion. The space station sent the information about the aliens, and Tagruato thought that they could tame the Cloverfield monster to defend ourselves from the threat. Something happened in the space station, and, somehow, it crashed on the oil station, thus awaking the Cloverfield monster. That's just my little theory guys :D

Never saw cloverfield, seemed like a somewhat interesting movie though. now this video has probably put it somewhere a lot higher on the list of films I wanna see next. Lovecraft, An Eco-Extremist, Yet Still Pacifistic Group tried to expose them, but than they accidentally released it? sounds awesome.

Joe Olson the first film wasn't my favorite but it was interesting honestly a better Godzilla film than the newest Godzilla film (and the '98 Godzilla film with matthew broadwick ) the sequel on the other hand is so chilling and unnerving that it stands on its own. tbh when I watched the sequel I didn't know it was a sequel . and this is one of the few times the sequel far surpassed the original. furthermore the added arg elements that I am just learning of adds a shitttttt ton to the value of the story

I believe God Particle (Cloverfield 3) will explain who Howard was and also will explain 10CL the theme will be to not mess with nature. As it takes place in space (I think) there'd be a particle accelerator in a space station and some astrounut(s) mess with the accelerator hence God Particle. Because this Cloverfield Universe or Cloververse revolves around Apocalyptic events either with monsters, Aliens etc. the astronaut(s) who mess with the Particle accelerator cause a rift or a rip in space causing the Red flash In 10CL the Station gets sent through the other side of the rift, and begins to crash into earth, and with Aliens come through the rift hence the alien invasion in 10CL. As the Station begins to fall towards Earth (in the time Cloverfield takes place) it burns up and a piece falls into the ocean hence Cloverfield. Because the Station came from another time and universe, it caused a string of apocalyptic monster events across a system of universes. Causing the Cloververse which then gives a bit more meaning to "Monsters come in many forms"
